Ok, so I am going to give a review on the air hogs star wars remote control zero gravity x-wing Starfighter. So I didn't really know what to expect when I got this. A toy that drives on walls and ceilings sounded almost to good to be true. But much to my surprise and enjoyment it does just that. You can also drive on the floor. You just switch it to the wall setting for walls or floor setting for the ground. This is a fascinating little toy. It has a powerful fan built in that allows it to blow air out the bottom and work as a sort of hover craft while driving on the ground. It has little rubber flaps on bottom. But it also uses wheels for the movements you tell it to do with the remote. Then when you switch it to wall or ceiling driving, it reverses the fan to create a suction that allows it to stick to the wall or ceiling. Then it uses the wheels for motion controls. You have to put batteries in the remote and then plug in the cord to the x-wing to charge it's internal battery. It takes about 30 minutes to charge, which then gives you 10 minutes of play time. I love this toy. The only problem I can think of is that I don't have another one to race against!

My new favorite remote control toy!

Having had other Air Hogs RC planes, submarine and vehicles before, I had high expectations. This on is unlike any of the others we've owned in the past. First off, the box was easy to open and the toy was easy to quickly remove from the packaging - not a small thing. Yet it was secure enough to keep the toy safe in transit. The toy takes 6 AA batteries installed with a phillips screw driver in the controller. After putting in the batteries, you plug in the small pigtail charger from the controller to the vehicle - it is stored in the handle when not in use. The unit indicated that it was fully charged in about an hour. Play time on one charge was well over 15 minutes. The lights on the back of the X-wing light up, and flash to indicate when the charge is getting low.

We first attempted to use this one on the floor - didn't work so well for us at all. Since we have dropped ceilings, we couldn't try it on the ceiling, but had lots of fun maneuvering it around on the wall. It has an internal fan that creates enough suction to hold it on the wall. The controls seem pretty intuitive. Our walls are painted paneling, and occasionally the vehicle would have trouble making it past a seam, but putting it in reverse and then taking another pass at it worked in most cases to move it beyond the obstacle.

I can see this one being a real hit for the luck boy who gets this one!

Definitely unique toy

After opening the Air Hogs Zero Gravity X-wing star fighter I have to say I was impressed with the detail and thought that it looked just like the star fighter from the movies. After installing the 6 AA batteries I couldn't wait for it to charge up. The x-wing's battery charges off of the remote. Once it was ready to go my kids, who are age two and four, turned it on and attached it to the wall. It was really fun. The star fighter keeps a suction to the wall or ceiling with an internal fan while a small wheel makes it move forward back and turn. With the wheel being so small it's best to use the x-wing on as smoothe a surface as possible, we have paneling and the x-wing has a hard time crossing the indentions in it. The same issue when we use ground mode and run on our hardwood floors. The rechargeable battery in the x-wing gets drained pretty quickly which really frustrates a two year old. I on the other hand think that it performs nicely and is a neat concept. The kids have a ton of fun with it on the wall. Going from the floor to the ceiling and back down again just laughing and carrying on. Really neat concept and design.

Awesome detail and design

WHOA! What a cool toy!!! I'm absolutely amazed at the attention to detail plus the fact that it runs along the walls! This toy takes 6 AA batteries, so I had to make a trip to the store to get some, but well worth the time and money! It didn't take long for it to charge either. My husband fell in love with it so I know the grandkids will enjoy it even more. We had absolutely NO problems with it. Most of the toys we buy for grandkids are VERY difficult to get out of the boxes. Even that was easy. The way this was packaged was awesome! Super easy to remove the remote and X-wing Starfighter without a fuss and super easy to set up. We just popped in the batteries, charged it for half an hour and it was ready to go! Included are these really cool glow in the dark stickers. Can't you just imagine the on the bedroom ceiling with this Starfighter navigating around them?! I received this item free in exchange for a review but I loved it so much I went out and bought a second one for another grandson! I would highly recommend this toy. One of the coolest toys I've ever seen and easily worth the $50.00 price tag!
