I love this watch, I thought that the bezel size would bug me but it doesn't. The one negative I have is that after 3 days of use the case was scratched.

I've been a user of smartwatches since the first Android Wear watches rolled out in 2014. I've used Google's, Apple's and Samsung's offerings so I have been accustomed to using various designs on a daily basis. The first thing to note is that the design is very simplistic and not going to be to everyone's taste. The design is on par with what I wanted it to be, but your mileage may vary. The main things that are lacking are the heart rate sensor, NFC to payments, GPS and a speaker. None of these matter to me too much, but it's something to consider.
Performance is very good, voice dictation is reliable and the screen is very vibrant looking. Overall very happy.

Part of the problem with smartwatches is that neither the public nor the manufacturers have figured out what they are for. Do people want a smartphone for their wrist? Do they want a fitness tracker? What do people need a smartwatch for?
I actually went in knowing *exactly* what I wanted a smartwatch for, and so choosing this watch was simple. I wanted a device that would connect to my online calendar and remind me of meetings, events, and the like with a vibration that I would actually notice (unlike my smartphone on vibrate) but which would not be disruptive to my day (unlike my smartphone's alarm.)
I wanted a device which could connect to my account on Google Fit and track my activities without being as bulky to carry as my smartphone (a Nexus 6P).
I wanted a device that looked like a watch that I would actually wear. I'm a rather slim man, and big, bulky watches make my arms like like twigs. Also, I do not like the "flat tires" on some round displays; nor am I fond of square watches.
That was really all I needed and the LG Style does those things. Oh sure. It also can do more. You can download plenty of apps for it (called "complications" from the Play Store.) You can put on Play Music or Overdrive or a podcast app and then download content so that you can connect to a Bluetooth headset and listen from your watch. You can use IFTTT to set up notifications. There are many possibilities.
But what do I use a watch for? Keeping time and scheduling. And if I keep that as the main focus for a smartwatch, then I shall never be disappointed.
The Style accomplishes that. It looks good. It is comfortable. The screen is crisp and clear. The watch faces are easy to change. And using the side dial is a convenient and comfortable way to scroll.
I would almost put this as a perfect example of a basic smartwatch if not for two things. First of all, the battery life. Even though I turn off Bluetooth & WiFi when I am not using them, and keep the screen off when I am not using it, and use adaptive brightness, I cannot squeeze more than a day out of the battery. Usually I wind up turning it off around bedtime and charging it. This could easily be fixed with a larger battery, maybe the one from the LG Sport. It would increase the thickness, but possibly not so much that it would be unwieldy.
Second, the charger is small and I worry about losing it. I am concerned that spare chargers do not seem to be available, though I suspect that any inductive charger would work.
Third, and least important. I would not be averse to it having a heart rate monitor. Without it, this smartwatch is not quite as functional as most fitness monitors, nor as versatile as most other smartwatches. It needs something to push it over the edge.
Beyond that though, this is a decent basic smartwatch. I would say that for form it deserves five stars, but for functionality it only deserves three. So I averaged it to four. I cannot quite recommend this watch. More advances (especially to the battery life) need to be made.

Pretty great if you want a basic smartwatch, pretty bad in comparison to others. The biggest plus to it is its size. I wanted a watch that wasn't as bulky and masculine as the Gear s3 and this delivered with its perfectly small and stylish build. Messages I didn't care for, I had to download an app for messenger because I didn't like how messages was set up. The odometer on it wasn't all too accurate either, but not enough to be a problem. The one problem I had with it was the battery life. With the Gear s3 I'm used to my watch lasting at least 2 days. This watch barely made it through 1 with very little use. I can't imagine how it would be if I used it more. I had to return it because this was just too much of a problem

Pros:
1.Nice look with premium leather strap and round face(probably this watch is only for women)
2. Bright display..No problem even u are under direct sunlight
3. Great responsive touch
4.The last but not least is it's awesome 2.0 software
Cons:
1. Biggest drawback for me is not having a speaker(I'm using Asus ZenWatch 3 n it has a speaker from which u can listen songs n take calls directly on watch). We have to connect wireless headphones to listen music from this watch.
2.No NFC, GPS
There's also no LTE but it's not a big problem for me
I would like to recommend it for someone who doesn't bother about the cons I have mentioned above

I got this smartwatch so that I could have better reminders from my Google Calendar. I do not always hear my phone's notifications in my pocket, nor feel vibrations during silent mode. But when my watch vibrates on my wrist, I feel it.
If all you want from a smartwatch is something basic like that, then this might be up your alley. It has no heart rate monitor. No GPS. It can't make purchases. It won't answer your calls.
You can connect it to your WiFi or to a Bluetooth device and that's it. The battery life isn't really that good. Even in airplane mode, this battery is lucky to last 24 hours.
That being said, the interface is smooth. I especially like using the dial for scrolling through options. Google Fit works quite well with it, as you might expect. And I love the fact that it is a fullscreen round display. Best of all, this looks like a real watch that actually looks good on my slim wrists!
While this watch meets my basic needs, I think it's a little over priced for what you get. If it offered a heart rate monitor and a slightly larger battery, it might be a better deal. But as is, I cannot give it a higher grade than a C-.

This is my first Android Wear device, and I absolutely love Android Wear itself. Going into it I thought a smartwatch would be gimmicky, but I have come to really appreciate being able to see notification details at a glance.
That being said, the LG Watch Style specifically has been quite disappointing. I do not have any basis for comparison, but after 53-54 weeks of ownership (only 1-2 weeks after the warranty expired) I have seen a DRASTIC decline in battery life. When I first purchased the watch I would put it on at about 8 am and it would power down at about 9-10p - not great, but not too bad considering I charge the watch every night anyway. This was with the always-on display feature turned on. After about 6 months of wearing the watch every day I decided to turn off the always-on feature to see how much more battery time that gained me...the result was only about an hour more of usage a day, but I didn't really miss the always-on feature so I left it off. Another 6 months later, and now the watch is completely dead by 11am - It's not even worth it for me to wear the watch anymore. I have gone through a factory reset of the watch and left all apps uninstalled and settings default to make sure that there isn't a rogue app or setting draining the battery, but the result was exactly the same. Additionally, I will often take the watch off the charger at 100% and by the time it's on my wrist the device displays 75% battery. If the watch is powered off when I remove it from the charger (again, fully charged), just powering the watch on will drain the battery to 50%. In the battery status of the Android Wear companion app, the highest item listed is Idle, with significantly more drain than screen or system. I find it very convenient that these issues started occurring just after my warranty expired.
I love Android Wear and I'm very disappointed that there haven't been consistent, year-to-year improvements like there is with Android phones. I will likely purchase another Android Wear device, but I would NOT recommend the Style to anyone.

The watch is slim and nice but I wish it had NFC for Android pay. The battery life is ok but not as good as my Galaxy gear S3.
A:There is no radius at all! That was the main reason I returned this watch, it's a great watch but the second I was 2 feet away from my phone it doesn't work. It's disappointing because this watch really is a great watch!
A:It's neither really. It does have fitness apps and that sort of thing, but it doesn't have GPS like fitness watches do. It also does not answer or make calls, but it does do email, social media and texting. It does have to be connected to your phone to do these things.
