First MIPS helmet
I've wanted a MIPS helmet after reading about this new concussion-prevention helmet technology last year. There are minimal choices and most -- for me -- are out of price range. Scott Taal MIPS Helmet
It may be a bit early to evaluate the helmet. It is light and well vented. I fit it to my head and adjusted the chin strap to just less than snug. I wore it in the Tour de Mesa bicycle race yesterday. There are several points in the race where the speeds get above 30 mph. Each time the helmet rose off my head as though it were a sail. Great helmet for child with 55 cm head
Sizing info on box says fits up to 61 cm, but anything above 59 cm and it will be too tight. I am 59.5 cm and it was too tight for me, but great for my 8 yr old at 55 cm. Nice easy adjust dial on back. MIPS is a good concept and I am happy my son is wearing this. Good value vs other MIPS bike helmets. Delivered quickly, no problems.
