I bought this generator after the first safety power shut off here in Nor Cal so I would have power the next time. The generator arrived on time. I dodged the 2nd shutoff, but am now in the end stages of shutoff number 3. The unit was easy to unpack and load with the oil that came with it. They also give you a funnel and some other accessories for hardwiring the unit if you wish to do so. I filled the gas tank and she fired right up. I then plugged in the fridge, internet modem, TV, and some lights. It powered then all no problem. After 4 hours I shut off the unit to go to bed and woke up at 5:00 am to refuel and run it again until 9 am when I planned to shut it off and leave for the day. I figured I would be adding another gallon but it only took about a quart! This thing is efficient and is keeping me out if the dark. I recommend changing the oil after 5 hours like the manual says. Must be some sort if break in assist. It was very easy to do. After that it is recommended to change the oil every 50 hours. Great product. Read full review

Added oil and gas to generator it started on the first pull. Generator ran smooth and quiet however when I plugged a blow dryer into outlet it wouldn’t run dryer, Wiggled the plug a little bit and the dryer started cutting on and off. Obviously there was some loose connection behind Front panel. Rather than pay shipping to send generator back to California from Florida I decided to takeoff Front panel And take a look. Found a broken wire connection that was spot welded or soldered on breaker terminal next to outlet. Installed flag style push on type connector, have only run the unit about a half an hourSince repair. Time will tell if this unit is good or not, seems like they missed on the quality control on my particular unit.

So I bought this little dandy for camping, music festivals, boating etc. I cannot express how well it works! No problem at all running the 5000 btu ac in our camper. Ever using the energy saver feature, which by the way working amazingly well. Our last night at Bonnaroo we were completely beat down and hot so we retired early at around 8 p.m. at which time I filled the fuel tank at 9 a.m. the next morning it was still running strong! In fact, I have yet had to get up at night to fill it on any camping trip. It is very quite and easy to be around. We love it and are very happy with the purchase.

Power outages are becoming common in calif. I have a 4500 watt that runs everything. It is very loud and uses a gallon of gas every 2+ hours. I wanted something quiet and runs the necessities. This generator fits the bill. I wired it into the house circuit. It runs the frig, basement freezer, TV, lights, computer and coffee maker. It is quiet and has always started on the first easy pull. A six year old girl could start it. I broke it in for a couple of hours and let it run dry. When the power went out and I filled it. Ran the house for 9 hours and I shut it off and went to bed. Next morning I filled it and it only took just over a half gallon. I was amazed. Using little gas is important. You may not have a lot of gas on hand when the power goes out and the local gas stations are likely closed. Haven't used the big generator since. Read full review

I couldn't be happier having bought this Pulsar generator. I opened the box, put in the oil that it comes with, filled it with gas and it started on the second pull. (I didn't have the choke on for the first pull). It is so quiet that if there is any other noise in the vicinity you can't tell it's running. I took it to my sailboat and plugged it into the shore power, then turned on the boat three bank battery charger, some cabin lights, a Ryobi battery charger, and the TV. While the shore power was plugged in I plugged in my skilsaw worm drive saw into the second AC receptacle on the generator. The skilsaw draws 13 amps. I held my breath and pulled the trigger to cut some marine ply. The Pulsar revved up and smoothed out without skipping a beat. I ran it for three hours the first day. Hoorah, I bought a Pulsar.Read full review

Was able to run a wet vacuum (6 gallon, 3.5hp), miter saw (15 amp), sawzall, table saw (15 amp) and other conventional portable power tools a handy person uses that requires 120V power. Also ran a low powered 900W microwave. The unit is quiet in comparison to others in this category of generators, particularly, in eco mode. It has a 12V outlet (automotive jumper cable included) and USB outlet which are both nice features to have. I would recommend this portable inverter.

This 2000 W generator runs my RV air conditioner and starts it up every time it is a 13,500 BTU unit. This thing out performs my Generac 2000 W inverter in every way it’s quieter runs better has more neat features and handles about 300 more Watts than an equivalent 2000 W Generac. But what impresses me the most is how it starts by Rv air conditioner with no problem at all and that’s very unusual for a small 2000 W generator if you want to look it up on YouTube search 2000 W pulsar generator versus Generac 2000 W generator and you might see my video. Or search 2000W pulsar generator starts RV air conditioner. I’m actually going to return the little 2000 W Generac because I’m not impressed at all. The Generac won’t even begin to try to turn the air conditioner on or start it up I tried 10 different ways and there’s no chance of the Generac starting the air conditioner but the pulsar does it every time.Read full review

I needed a generator for my boat. I have it docked where I have no power. I have a 3 bank Promariner on board battery charger that I use to charge my 24 volt system trolling motor and my charging motor. I followed the break in step that someone posted on another site and all went well. This is a solid machine and quiet running. I went through the steps of 30% load, 70% load and finally 95% load and it purred like a kitten. When you first hook up the load, it gives a quick burst then settles in with no fluctuation. I will be going to the boat tomorrow to recharge my batteries to get ready for the weekend. I ran it for about an hour during break in and it barely used any gas at all.

Generator started with no issues, ran for one hour and put 1000 watt load on it with no issues decided to change oil after one hour and after 5 hours of use. Seem to be a good generator for the price so only time will tell. This will be my camping buddy and also for emergency use at home when pge decide to cut off power. Right now very happy and satisfied with it. I made this custom cover for added protection when in storage.

We did not expect our power to go out but went ahead and planned halfassedly for it. Sure enough with 12-18 inches of snow being dumped on us here in the NC mountains our power went out last night at 1am with just 3 inches on the ground. All night on just two gallons this little generator has ran our laptops, a table side light, ceramic wall heater and a tiny space heater.. that was 11 hours ago and it's still going. Finally I'm not that neighbor packing up my truck and abandoning my house because we don't have a generator. Started right up, noise level is OK, sounds like an air compressor or a vacuum at a car wash. May get another one to run the kitchen side of things
