The worst mulch
I have been gardening over 30 years, and this is the most inferior “mulch” that I have ever seen. I was very dissapointed that I strayed away from my regular mulch. After 1 day of rain, what little color there was has all but vanished.

Poor consistency and quality
Bought three times of brown color, with different degrees of colors and patterns. There were also some logs in some bags without breakdown and you have to get rid of, but many others like powder. The powder pattern will be easy to flush away by rain.

Big chunks of wood - even large rocks
If you look at the advertising picture, the mulch looks quite smallish and even. In reality, the wood is large and chunky and even has rocks in the mulch. I only bought one bag to test this out and ended up putting it in a spot that won't show. I would never suggest buying this mulch - no matter what the cost.

Poor quality!
I have purchased this premium black mulch every year and have always been satisfied with the color quality but this year I am completely disappointed in the 25 bags I bought on April 15.2024. The top portion is a deep rich black but as I emptied the bags the mulch seemed to be old and brown. Not what I was expecting.

Not red and not premium
I was extremely disappointed in this mulch. I have used Vigoro Premium Red Mulch for the last several years and have never had an issue with it. This mulch was neither red nor premium in quality. In past years, the mulch was made of red wood chips. This mulch was stringy and more brown than red. There was also various types of debris mixed in with the mulch, including chunks of rubber and foil wrapper pieces. It took more mulch than expected to cover the old mulch with this much darker color.

The product was as expected but the delivery which cost me $79 was atrocious. I was told to take my cars out of the driveway which I did expecting the truck to put them close to the house. Instead it dropped the pallet at the bottom of the driveway blocking access to both the driveway and our handicap access.

Needed to get two truckloads of bags of mulch. Bought 30 bags and spread it on the gardens. Bought the second truckload and it was way darker. Went back to the store and they said I must have gotten the first leftover from last year and they couldn't do anything about the extreme color difference.

First three bags were fine. Went back the next day and bought three more. Soaking wet and turned out brown. Thought it was because they were wet. Nope. Now my flower bed has two different colors in it. Not happy.
