Having suffered with sensitive skin for many years, shaving has been a nightmare for me.

Recently, whilst visiting the USA, I passed an Art of Shaving Store and I was so excited that I may have finally found a product which will make shaving a breeze for me. I've been using the Shaving Cream, Pre-Shave Oil and the After Shave Balm for two weeks now and I can already see the difference.

My skin is much less irritated and feels a lot more fresh and clean.

I'll never go back to any other product.

Again, I was proven wrong. You need very little of the shaving cream. It spreads and lathers well and is silky smooth on the face. It leaves your skin feeling fresh and smooth.

The Art of Shaving; Shaving Cream

I am 77 years old and have been using several silver tip Badger shave brushes over the years.   The Art of Shaving unscented cream is the best I have ever tried.  Highly recommended.

Best cream never

The Art of Shaving Shaving cream, both softened and lifted my beard, allowing me to experience a close shave, with no nicks and no irritation. The combination of nourishing ingredients and the texture of this product, provide a barrier that lets you get the shave you want, without the aggravation. We have all heard and felt the scape of a low quality blade and shaving product, being pulled against our skin, and that simply doesn't happen with this product, it feels great, and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and moisturized.

Is this a shaving cream or a spa facial?

It goes well with the pre-shave oil that was also included in the kit. It lathers up very well with the pure badger shaving brush and provided me with a very smooth shave. It also appeared to be hydrating to my skin because once I was done my face felt soft, not dry or tight, which is what i've experienced with a few other products. I don't know if i'll be able to go back to my old cream after using this one!

I might love shaving again!

I use the unscented shaving kit and I must say I have never had a better shave. The shave is smooth and the aftershave balm leaves a nice smooth feel without being greasy. My facial skin is in good condition as a consequence.
As an online shopper I find dealing with The Art of Shaving bureaucratic and unhelpful. Customer service is inaccessible by e-mail and the company can only be accessed through the webpage contact form. It's a pity their online service is not as good as their products.

Best shave I have ever had

Though I generally like this shaving cream, it unfortunately leaves a milky white residue on everything.

I can clean the residue off my shaving bowl and razor (but have to completely disassemble and scrub it), but have no idea how to get the residue off my badger hair shaving brush. The bristles are getting quite gunky with the residue, and rinsing doesn't remove it.

Again, I like the product overall--it's slicker than other shaving creams I've tried--but don't think I'll order it again due to the white residue it leaves behind on all my shaving implements.

Like It, But Leaves a White Residue

This product was packaged nicely, in a nice container, with a nice applicator brush, but when I put it on my face it felt like glue. It ended up combining with the Pre-Shave Oil and creating a nice paste-like product on my face that my razor would hardly go through.

Not only that but it wouldn't rinse from my razor even using very hot water.

Not a product I would recommend or use.
