Even used to support little 7.5 inch notebooks, they kept falling over, either from the weight of the notebooks or from the jostling when I went to retrieve or return a notebook. The ear of one cat broke off during one of these falls, so now they collect dust on the bottom shelf, supporting nothing. I encourage the makers to try a heavier material or a different design for the base so that these cuties can serve as proper bookends.
