Cute And Heavy Portal Bookends

Cute And Heavy Portal Bookends
I was looking for some bookends and I didn't really have anything in mind, so I scrolled endlessly through options and I stumbled upon these Portal bookends and thought they were really... cool, would be the best word. They are based on the Portal game by Valve. The bookends are thick metal and heavy. The bottoms have a rubber-ish material that will prevent your books from skidding on a shelf. The angle of the bookends aren't exactly an L-shaped 90°, more like 88-89°. This is slightly annoying for those with OCD that want perfect 90° bookends, but it doesn't bother me, honestly, it doesn't, it doesn't bother me, at all. You can have these bookends in the same room, or in different rooms like I have; the figure leaves the kitchen and ends up in the living room [see photos]. I wasn't sure these were worth the money at first, but it's well put together and made with durable materials, in a cute and attractive design, and it will keep your books in place. Recommended.

While these Portal Bookends are aesthetically pleasing the pack i received had several issues. The ones i received were both the orange portals so it looks like it's two guys crashing into each other. Another issue that mine have is that the metal looks scratched and cheap and the metal also has four noticeable dark circles on the base of each bookend. The good news is that they actually hold a decent amount of books. I currently have eight books of different heights and thicknesses and they are all stable. The bottom of the bookends also have some padding to protect your furniture from scratching.

This is the second time I have ordered this. It is so small that it is easily misplaced unless you are more organized than I am. It worked perfectly, however, to remove peeling paint from a stucco wall before repainting; and I will use this one to power wash my deck before reoiling. This time I was smart enough to also buy these company's turn-off valve because this is so powerful it flies all over the place while you are running to the faucet to turn it off

Excellent product. The bookends have no problems holding my heavy books in place, and the thin foam coating on the bottom keeps them from sliding around. They are slightly wider than average bookends, so smaller paperbacks may be dwarfed by them. I love the Portal effect given by them, as if the Portal stick figure is running into one side of my books and out the other. Try putting the bookends on different shelves of your book case to enhance the visual effect.

I’m a big girl it says small/medium but it’s not. It’s supposed to be regular but need larger size for it to fit better. The velcro was on the edge so the fit was very uncomfortable. I would say they need a size chart or have medium/large or large/extra large.
