This print was inspired by the shape of Indian archways, as well as the natural shape and veins of a leaf. The design was carved from a linoleum block, hand printed and then digitized to create this print.

    byKatharine Watson

    Portland, ME

Katharine Watson is an artist and printmaker based in Portland, Maine. Katharine grew up in London and Hong Kong, and settled in Portland in 2015. She begins her work with a sketch that she translates to a linoleum block and then carves by hand, later printing these designs onto stationery, textiles, ceramics, and other everyday goods. When she's not in her studio, she's out gardening with her husband and two dogs, or reading home design magazines with a cup of jasmine tea.
