Worked perfectly!! I drank tap water since I came to uk for almost 7 yrs but recently had very bad digestive problems. I didn't think of the water as a reason until I visited a friend in Birmingham for few days and my problems were gone, but they went back after I returned to my place... Recalled myself how clean my friend's kettle was so I order this product. Just a day after drinking the filtered water, all the pain and inconvenience gone. Still not believe in the magic so I contacted BRITA for a water hardness test strip. The enclosed picture explains everything (note: the actual colours are more red and more green than seen). A massive thank to BRITA for their brilliant technology!

Sent me out a replacement straight away without even asking for proof of purchase. Superb customer service, which is just another plus for an excellent product. Only minor annoyance is the spout flap, as you have to manually hold it up if you're filling up a bottle rather than a glass. But if that's the worst thing you have to worry about then it's not that bad...

    Read all the reviews and now am really satisfied with this purchase. Made such a difference to my drinking water in the frig, also the kettle water making tea - no more film in the teacup. The Squash tastes better too so all round a very good value for money purchase. I like taking the top off in order to fill it and certainly get more refills than the indicator on the top does. Recommended.

    With the new year not to long gone, I've decided to drink more water. With government water not quite being what it used to be(addition of more chemicals) this Brita Water filter Jug has come in handy. It has solid build quality and nice display to indicate how long your filter has left before it needs replacing. The product has a nice slim design which helps store it in the fridge door or shelf without taking much room. It's also a great entry price, so it doesn't hit the pocket to hard, so there's even less excuses not to drink water.

    The only negative about the product is that it only comes with one sample filter. You'll quickly need to buy more if you wish to continue to get crisp clear filtered water.

    I own already one Brita jug, a bit bigger with no inlet, that is not a problem in that model. This one has no inlet as well and you have to remove a lid every time you have to fill in the jug. But this is a problem in this model as all parts are really badly fitted (suprise in a German product!), and every time you remove this lid, the inner part of a jug (with a filter in it) misplaces, or falls out and after refilling we have problem with closing a lid. You have to press it really hard.

    This jug removed the chlorine taste of the water, there are no more weird residues in the tea, and the water tastes great. I used to buy bottled water, so it saves me money now. It is also cheap.

    One thing to note, on the second day of our first cartridge, I noticed black particles in the water - on their website it says it is harmless:

    "The black particles are parts of one of BRITA's filter media, the activated carbon. The granulated activated carbon is made of coconut shells. Like each natural product, coconut shells are subject to natural variances regarding product quality. This can lead to abrasion of parts of the carbon into your filtered water. To eradicate any carbon dust which may be present, preparation of your cartridge is crucial.
    Please prepare as per your cartridge instructions or see "How to prepare your cartridge".
    Please be assured that the contents of the cartridge are food grade and completely harmless to yourself and if accidentally consumed will be harmless to health. Their presence will not affect the performance of the cartridge."

    Have owned a number or Brita jugs and have generally been very pleased with them. this version is however disappointing. It feels very much an economy version. It filters the water as well as the other models in the Brita range but is flawed in a couple of important areas. You have to remove the very stiff lid to fill. After two days of ownership, this is already becoming a pain and will get worse as lime-scale builds up on the edges of the jug/lid . The handle is also really uncomfortable and narrow. When the jug is full, this can make it quite difficult to pour steadily. It was cheap but it really wasn't worth it. Avoid and buy another model

Acquistata per sostituire una Brita Marella che il gatto mi ha spiattellato sul pavimento, va precisato che questa caraffa, a differenza del modello Marella, non ha uno sportellino apribile sul coperchio, per cui per riempirla va tolto il coperchio intero. Per me è un problema davvero ininfluente, dato che costa meno della metà delle altre e ha la stessa capacità.
