How to Use

Step 1

Screw the faucet attachment to a utility sink faucet or garden hose.

    I’m glad I waited to write a review because the first four times I used it I failed. First of all the directions are not self explanatory. I learned more form the other reviewers. It does not fit onto a regular faucet so go right outside to your hose and attach to wall spout. After attaching all the parts you must hold the tubing firmly against the gun or when you pull trigger it will burst apart and you will get paint all over your face. So it takes dexterity using both hands to hold and turn on faucet. I suggest practicing with water. However after trial and error I will admit it is well worth the money and does make cleaning much faster. Another bonus is if you have to respray in two hours you can put top on spray gun cup avoiding having to cleaning it. Big time saver.

    I worked through a big remodel job, and leaned on the Finish Max for all the trim and doors. I ordered this cleaning kit at the same time I ordered the gun, so I didn't really know what to expect.

    Technically, you can clean the gun without it, but this makes if far easier and gets the gun cleaner. I hooked it up to my utility sink and used it to force hot water through the nozzle. Makes the job easy.

    Honestly, when you look at what you get, you'll probably scratch your head at the price. Hard to see $10 here.

    But it's worth it.

    I got this for the Finish Max sprayer, which I guess because of the wider straw opening, requires an included white straw that replaces the wider one used for spraying. Apparently the smaller guns don't need this piece and the hose can attach directly to the existing straw.

    Well, the straw included for the cleanup kit to be used with the Finish Max only sits loosely in the hole. At the first sign of any water at all, it pops out of place and gets you and everything else wet. When you turn up the water, even if you're valiantly attempting to hold the straw in place, water is shooting out of the tiny gaps created by the loose fit, causing high speed streams of water to shoot back at you.

    The connector for the hose or sink has a pass-through design, so any water not diverted to the gun goes back into the sink, presumably so you can wash other parts while running water through the gun. It's a great idea, except guess what happens if you're using a hose instead of a sink? That spray shoots out in all random directions soaking everything around you. There's no valve to turn off the water coming through that end.

    This kit desperately needs a properly fitting straw, and a hose/faucet connector that has the option to turn off the pass-through side.

    I bought the HomeRight C800766 Finish Max Fine Finish Sprayer and wanted to have an easy way to ensure that it was clean. This accessory does wonders for speeding up the process. Just screw this on your hose or faucet and put it on the intake to the sprayer, after a minute of use, the nozzle and sprayer is clean of paint!

    You still have to take the sprayer apart to let it try and clean out some of the inside parts, but it turns what is otherwise a 20 minute job into a 5 minute one. Work the price I paid - you'll love it, too.
