My wife loved it!
My wife has a little wood wagon planter that is falling apart. She wanted a new planter. Searching for the wagon, I found this Signals Wooden Dachshund Flower Planter. I knew I had to get it for her. She loved my son’s dachshunds. It fits nicely into our landscape plan. For Christmas, I painted a ping pong ball red and put it on his nose and named him Zero, the dog from Nightmare Before Christmas! The planter is well made and is easy to assemble with basic tools.

    Thank you so much for the quick shipping! I had ordered this planter for my Mum for Mother's Day, but because of my procrastination I didn't order it to far in advance like I should of. When I finalized the ordered, it told me the delivery date of the item would come like a week after Mother's day. I was a little disappointed but it was my fault for ordering 6 days before I needed it. Anyway, it come to my door within 4 days! I was so happy I was dancing in circles! Since I knew my Mum was going to use this item outdoors mostly, and living in Michigan you never know the weather, I wanted to protect the wood. So I painted it with a couple coats of polyurethane to seal it and make it last longer. My Mum ended up loving it! I had also got a couple small potted flowers from Lowes and just set them inside before I gave it to her. I was going to plant the flowers in the planter, but decided not to in case she wanted a different type of flower inside then the ones I gave her. Which she did. But thank you for the amazingly quick shipping! You're company rocks!

    This planter is adorable. As another reviewer noted, not all of the pre-drilled screw holes were in the right places, and there should have been about six more pre-drilled holes than there were - nothing a little elbow grease couldn't handle. Mine didn't sit very level, but I was able to bend the legs to compensate (but be careful, especially if you do this after you attach them, as the screws are short and you don't want to pop them out). One eye was not attached upon receipt, but wood glue took care of that problem. Finish is more grey than I was expecting, but weather would grey it, anyway.

All you have to put on is the feet, tail and head. It came with all the screws It's made out of weathered wood so should last for awhile but I'd maybe seal or stain it to make it last longer. I'd use a drill over doing it by hand but you can do without a drill.
