Clean eating is something I had heard about but thought was hugely time consuming and meant spending a fortune at Holland & Barratt on stuff that needs soaking for 48 hrs before you can use it. This is so far from that idea, I am totally thrilled with it. It's become a bit obsessive now and once you start, I warn you, it is hard to stop. Alice is hard not to like. The book is so easy to folllow and every single recipe so far has been fantastic. I also follow her on Instagram and Snapchat and she regularly photographs her meals, which generally follow the same theme. So, once you have tried a few, you get used to her style. Cauli and brocolli rice is a bit of a revelation. For the first time in years, I have ventured away from local big superstores and into smaller independent fruit and veg shops. No difference in cost and just feels much better in terms of produce and social choice. Pls buy this book, it might change your eating habits forever - for the better - like it has mine 👍.

My only criticism is that the recipes are not calorie counted but then I suppose the idea is that the meals are healthy enough not to need to count calories.

I got this to help with my new diet, as I have Fibromyalgia and it is recommended you eat clean and healthily to help manage symptoms. Has some great sweet recipes alongside the savoury ones.
As it is so good, I was a little more than disappointed that is has significantly less recipes than advertised. It is described as having over 80 recipes, but I counted 55. Don't hold me to that exact number though, as Fibromyalgia bran fog makes counting to high numbers hard! Would have been great to have actually had the over 80 recipes as advertised, hence the 3 stars. I will say, I got this half price for just £6, which definitely reduces the disappointment in the number of recipes.
I have not tried the exercises at the end of the book, I've been in a bad flare up for a while and struggling to even walk at the moment. Once I am out of this flare up, I'll consider them, but I'm pretty set on my fibromyalgia approved Tai Chi and Pilates!

As it is so good, I was a little more than disappointed that is has significantly less recipes than advertised. It is described as having over 80 recipes, but I counted 55. Would have been great to have actually had the over 80 recipes as advertised, hence the 3 stars. I will say, I got this half price for just £6, which definitely reduces the disappointment in the number of recipes.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 August 2016My husband and I are fans of Joe Wicks' Lean in 15 cookbook. However, I actually prefer this book as Alice categorises her recipes by the type of meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) which ultimately saves time when planning for the week. Several recipes have become firm favourites in our house already; the parsnip and chorizo hash with poached eggs, caramelised nectarine and banana with Greek yoghurt and the Mexican sweet potato and chicken being particularly tasty. We have been training for a triathlon so I can't comment on the exercise section. I have already bought this book for my sister in law and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to my patients (GP) as an excellent introduction to healthy eating and exercise.

The recopies are so easy to follow and its so refreshing to read something that doesn't make you feel like you are on a strict regime or program but something that will help you have a healthier lifestyle in a fuss free way. I have been following Alice on instagram for over a year and just love her food but always wanted to know a bit more, this book has a been a long time coming and frankly the only one I need in my kitchen! - Thanks Alice.

I love that it is affordable too, unlike most clean eating books who promote acai, flax seeds etc! This is very easy to follow and get inspired by. The exercise tips are so helpful too it's very honest about the hard work you will have to put in to look like Alice!

Ich weiß nicht, ob es an der englischen Sprache liegt, aber die Bücher von Alice Liveing sind mir am mittlerweile ziemlich ausufernden health und lifestyle Sektor mit Abstand die liebsten. Sie kommt extrem sympathisch rüber, obwohl sie rein optisch eigentlich den Proto-Typ einer "Lifestyle-Barbie" darstellt. Ihre Story ist authentisch, sie hält auch nicht hinterm Berg damit, dass eine Transformation wie die ihre ein Jahr gedauert hat und nicht in einem Wimpernschlag zu erzielen ist. Ich habe auch bereits ihr Kochbuch - für beide Bücher gilt: jedes Rezept, wirklich jedes ist schnell und unkompliziert nachzukochhen, ausgewogen und geschmacklich ein Hit, wenn man auf "Gesundes" steht. Wer die Reise zur gesundheitlichen und optischen Selbstoptimierung antreten möchte, ist mit Alice auf jeden Fall gut beraten. Zum Trainieren empfehle ich Jillian Michaels für Anfänger_innen - eine spitzen Kombi, die tatsächlich ein Leben verändern kann (für wenig Geld!).
