Followed the size chart. (I’m on the edge of the size chart so I sized up one). Double checked the packaging. Not sure who the end product was made for but it was not for the women it describes in the size chart. Quality also seems to have gone down significantly since I made a previous purchase. Can’t return because I washed them before wearing…dumb mistake.

I used these Assets to smoothie out my mommy belly under a formal dress for a black tie wedding and I was so happy with the results! This helped me feel beautiful while honoring my other curves. I bought two different colors and I will say that the black one was a good bit tighter than the nude pair. I was very surprised by that since they were both size 3 and in brand new packages. I squeezed into the black one but it was more work to go to the bathroom than the nude one was (I wore the nude on to the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding). I will also mention that I had zero chub-rub on my inner thighs even after dancing all night! And that is a major plus!

I wanted to like this shape wear—I really did. However, when I tried to put them on the first time, I’m pretty sure I strained my back. 🫠 I followed the sizing guidelines—I’m 5’ 0” and 140 lbs and the guidelines indicated that I was squarely in the “2” or a medium. I hand washed them in cold water and hung to dry before trying them on because I thought the sizing was correct. When I went to put them on before an event, it took 10 minutes to put on these shorts! I was sweaty and I strained my back. I’m a regular weightlifter and I’d like to think that it would take more than a pair of shaper wear to take me out—but I was out! I got so mad that I took those off and put on a snug pair of bike shorts instead. The bike shorts worked just fine and I didn’t feel like I was being cut in half. Maybe this is a testament to how strong the fabric is, but I won’t touch them again. Might work for others, but be warned: size up by one to two (maybe three 😬) sizes for personal safety.

Either these run big or they have very little compression- not sure which. I am squarely within the size I bought, but it didn’t feel compressive. It did give a smooth silhouette. Not sure it was worth the $10 more than the other brand I was comparing with it, though.
