This may end up being my all time favorite costume for my kids. I ordered the 4-6. My son is 2.5 years old but is solid, weighs about 47 pounds and it fit him nicely. Little wiggle room which works fine. He's scared of it but I think it's just the cutest thing.

    Halloween success. My 2y 0m old is 33 lbs and 38” tall (currently wearing 4T in Gap, Old Navy, and Carter’s - she’s very tall, the size of an average 3yo). I ordered the XL 4-6 after reading other reviews. I’m glad I went big because I don’t think the hat would have fit if it were any smaller. The body was huge, but it’s just like a long t-shirt. It didn’t bother her or disrupt her walking (despite ending at her shins). The costume came with the body, 2 shoe covers, and a dog head + collar. The body slips over the head and velcros in the back - super easy. The collar is attached to the dog head and velcros around the neck. The “hat” and collar serve as great ear/neck warmers in cold weather. The shoe covers are simple and effective. She was able to wear her own shoes and run around without a problem. I ordered brown pajamas from Primary, and it worked perfectly. The costume does not include a tail, and there is nothing to cover the hands (something to consider in cold weather). When in doubt, size up. If the costume ends up being too big, they can be Spudnik for Halloween next year (FRIENDS, anyone?).

    Ok...so my one year old hated this costume....he picked it out himself but didn't realize he'd be wearing it and didn't trust it at all. BUT after wearing the hat myself for about a week straight, he eventually came round and agreed to wear it for trick or treating.
    Extremely well made and durable! The body of costume is so soft and provides a layer of warmth and cushioning you won't find anywhere else. It's like wearing a pillow on the front and back of your torso...perfect for a toddler loopy on too much candy. The hat was also really nice and warm...speaking from personal experience.

    This costume is so cute! We got the extra large. My daughter is 42 inches and 38 pounds and it was a bit big but the length was fine. I think the quality overall for the head piece and body is actually really good. The paws/shoe piece are adorable but half of the black puppy toes fell off immediately. The shoe piece did fit well over her size 10 shoes. My daughter and my son love this costume.

    But we bought the tan and white version. My son is 40 inches and about 36 pounds and the large was a little too short. My 12 month old is 29 inches and 24 punds and fit the small perfectly. Although for the tan and browm costumes the shoe piece did not fit over their shoes. Too big.
