No, the original cartridges will not work.

No, the door does not open at all. The system fits in your hand.

No. it&#39;s only the 30 games and you can&#39;t add any in any way.

no it does not, they&#39;re all pre-loaded

No. It doesn&#39;t play the old games. In fact, the front loading dock, how it used to flip open on the original ones, it does not open at all. The console is pre-installed with 30 classic games. 

Con: Can&#39;t insert old cartridge games. A short controller wire
Pros: $60 price tag! Console is Light as a feather. Weight makes it feel empty inside.

No the game does not play old cartridges. Which left a gap in the hearts of many gamers along with myself. I am going with Nintendo using this as a Beta test for popularity of classic games for the future release of the NES Switch. 

They are returning to there roots with game cartridges instead of discs. That being said i would expect a future line of classic games available for the Switch in July of 2017, if not sooner since they are emphasizing the mobility of their new system and a cartridge containing any number of combination of classic 8 or 16 bit games would make it a system that any 80&#39;s kid till now would find highly desirable to own.

no this isnt like the sega genesis throwback that has 80 games and can play cartridges, with 2 wireless controllers all for $40, this is nintendo all u get is this mini thing with 30 games on it one controller and can not add to it or play cartridges for $60 if u can find it, definitely not worth over $60 think it should be $30 LOL.

Nintendo did a good job with this tiny little console but one thing they should've done better was the quantity that was available. It took me almost a month to get my hands on one. In my honest opinion, I would say this system is worth around $50. One thing that would of been nice, is being able to add additional games but you can't. It's just the 30 games. Another thing is the length of the controller cable, it's rediculously short. I had to actually purchase the cable extension & another controller as well. The controller that mine came with didn't actually work that well. The buttons weren't always responsive. These are the reasons that I believe it's a four star system and IMO worth $50. I do hope that Nintendo will follow up with a SNES at a reasonable price. I would suggest that you don't purchase one for more then the suggested retail price, you will be disappointed if you do. I love this thing but again, it's only worth so much. Don't purchase from scalpers, just wait until Nintendo makes more to go around.
