- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 October 2015I'm really happy with these headphones. There's no denying that they look fantastic but I was initially worried that I was going to be paying for style over sound (reason I've never owned a pair of Beats).
I shouldn't have been.
These are easily some of the best sounding on-ears I've heard at this price. Bass is definitely present without being muddy and the highs are crisp and distinct. Audiophiles looking for the most accurate sound reproduction possible may find this to be a negative but if you're like me and want a decent looking pair of headphones to wear out and about (I use these on my way to and around uni) that make your music sound really really good then you'll be more than happy with these.
These are also very comfortable. The pads are very soft. When you first put them on they may feel a bit snug but it's never at the point of being unpleasantly so and actually it's reassuring when moving about a lot knowing that these won't easily slip off.
Also, these were definitely designed to be worn around your neck when out but not in use. The fold flat ear pads really facilitate this making them really comfortable.... almost too comfortable... There have been times when I've panicked that I've forgot these somewhere only to realise they've been around my neck the entire time!
Definitely recommend.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 May 2017Taking these out the packaging, the quality of these is immediately obvious. Thought they're plastic, they still feel relatively sturdy and the fabric across the sides and band gives a pleasant rough texture. The ear cups are soft and mean that wearing these for an hour or longer never feels uncomfortable. I picked up the 'feldspar green' version of these and they're a seriously beautiful piece of kit.
In terms of sound quality, I'm not audiophile, but I think they sound great for day-to-day listening. They're nicely balanced - the bass is present but not overpowering and the mids and highs don't get drowned out at higher volumes. I've tried plenty of over-ear headphones in the £200+ range and while these can't match the most expensive Sennheisers or Grados, these still sound great and look even better. While they're not noise-cancelling, they also block out a surprising amount of external sound for on-ear headphones. I picked these up for £100 on an Amazon lightning deal which was phenomenal value - they're easily worth that or a bit more.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 April 2019I bought them with a discount, I needed a pair of overhear headphones to use while travelling (home->work-gym) mainly, they were supposed to replace a pair of AKG that were too worn out. I have another pair of b&o play h6 that I really like and I keep steady in my office so I thought I'd try to replace the akg with a cheap b&o. These headphones were also recommended as some of the best overhear headphone last year.
Frankly, I was just about to return them as soon as they arrived. The right headphone was not working at all, as other have said, it would only work if you kept pressed the cable buttons.
PEOPLE DO NOT DESPAIR! If the right headphone is not working, TURN THE CABLE AROUND! I know it does not make any sense, but if you switch the headphone end with the phone/whatever end, it will work! I don't know why this happens and I had never experienced anything like that .
After I got that to work, the headphones have started working very well. the bass is a bit too strong for me but whatever.
I think they're alright, but I mainly wanted to tell people who had the same problem as me to just switch the cable to resolve the right headphone problem.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 June 2016I bought these headphones for my son at Christmas, they had amazing sound but now only have sound from one side. Very disappointing.
Amazon were fantastic and replaced them in June but the exact same thing had occurred again.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 February 2025Excellent product!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 January 2019Sound is decent, although the bass is quite bloated. The treble is pretty rolled off, but still fairly detailed. They also look pretty good. However, they are incredibly uncomfortable. They have a vice-like grip, so any enjoyment one might be getting from the sound is ruined by the terrible pain.

First pair's headband cracked after almost a year. The replacement pair's headband began warping after 6 months. I take great care with all my tech hardware. Oh, and my head's an average size.
SOUND QUALITY
8/10. B&O's usual 'pleasing' tone - good clarity and stronger than average bass. Whether you listen to classical or dubstep, you'll rarely be disappointed. (I've owned Sure, Sennheiser, Klipsch, and RHA.)
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 May 2017I did a lot of research before purchasing these headphones, I had a rough price in mind (around £150) and through reading many reviews and actually trying these on in store I can honestly say I have never had a more comfortable or capable pair of headphones, I use an AK Jr to play CD quality or higher and these headphones nail everything perfectly. From The Smiths, to Muse, to Chet Baker I am very satisfied with my purchase.
These are very well made, the headband is perfectly sprung so the leather cups fit on the ear but you don't feel like you are wearing a head brace and the cups themselves are incredibly comfortable, even after hours, they also block out enough external noise without needing to crank it up too high and let enough sound in so you don't not hear the ambulance.
Don't hesitate, you will be happy I am sure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great build quality and sound...but why not a carry case or bag???
I purchased these after trying several others including Beats Solo II, Sennheiser Urbanite and various Bose headphones. These are by far my favorite for a variety of reasons. The build quality is excellent as well as the modern styling. Beats on the other hand were very fragile and cheap looking in comparison. The H2's are very lightweight (one reason I disliked the bulky Urbanite's) and the fit snug...but not too much so. The headband really does adjust to your size/shape! The sound quality is amazing with deep bass and detailed highs...far better than any other model in that price range. The headphones are truly meant for those looking for quality sound at a good price-point. My only criticism (as other reviewers have noted) is that for $200 B&O should at least give you a bag or case!!! They spent quite a bit on material to line the packaging and could have used that to make a carry bag. It's very annoying to now have to find a case that fits as I would hate to damage these during travel. Overall very happy with my purchase...now on to finding a case that fits them!...

5.0 out of 5 stars The BeoPlay H2's are a very good "on ear" set of headphones.
Finally found a descent headphone, as I have tried and listened to many others, mostly semi opened backed headphones. I didn't think I could use another set of "on ears" set up as my previous attempts did not work for one reason or another. I was wrong (as usual), these are super light and are extremely well built and stylish. I will state that they were a little tight on my head at first, but after wearing them for increasing longer periods of time, they seemed to disappear upon my head. They will need more "stretching", by more use and I feel they will be perfect in time. I recommend those with larger heads use caution, as they might be too tight, but with prolonged usage, the fit should loosen up a bit. Just give them some time for fit, you might be surprised. I have an average sized head (about a 7-7 1/4 size) and the headphones are feeling a little better each time I use them. The sound is impressive for such a lightweight set, and I will state that I use a portable headphone amp/dac but it its not necessary as the iPhone/laptop I use drives them enough due to the low impedance of the B&O's (rated @ 27ohms) Be aware that accuracy of the sound reproduced will surpise you and you might hear the inaccuracies of your music source. I was surprised that they were that accurate for such a relatively median cost set of headphones. They are not perfect, but for <$200, well worth it, as they present an excellent value. So far, so good, I am pleased with the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Che qualità!

5.0 out of 5 stars Un son excellent
