Product Description
From Mark Osborne comes the first-ever animated feature film adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's iconic masterpiece, The Little Prince. At the heart of it all is The Little Girl, who's being prepared by her mother for the very grown-up world in which they live - only to be interrupted by her eccentric, kind-hearted neighbor, The Aviator. The Aviator introduces his new friend to an extraordinary world where anything is possible. A world that he himself was initiated into long ago by The Little Prince. It's here that The Little Girl's magical and emotional journey into her own imagination - and into the universe of The Little Prince - begins. And it's where The Little Girl rediscovers her childhood and learns that ultimately, it's human connections that matter most, and that what's truly essential can only be seen with the heart.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2025Both the book and movie bring me immense comfort. I watch it when I'm upset or need to make myself cry. It's always nice to remind people to still be children sometimes, and I feel like this movie tells them well. It's beautiful. Not a book adaptation, but rather inspired by.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2024This movie was so good!!!! 10/10 I recommend for any child or adult. The books was beautiful and this movie really captures the essential message from the book!! I can’t tell you how many times I watch this as a comfort movie and it makes me cry and feel joyful when I need to remember what life is about and the intricate details of what it means to be a child and grow up in an adult centered world.
Your kids will love it, as well as adults!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2024This is really a tremendous movie for both children and adults. It is a French animated film that weaves together CG and stop-motion animation seamlessly. For animation fans, the result is a real treat. The story works on multiple levels and the voice talent is superb.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2023The French, are a little different from you and I, but they are also the same. Here is a told a story nested inside a story, that begins a failure and ends a success. That teaches us we are all alone, yet does it with love and the understanding that we are all connected and born blind until we learn to see with our hearts.
It is whimsical, and heartfelt and the acting, though only voices and paper and ink and such, are more real than most people I meet in the "real world". I watch this at least annually and it never disappoints me.
It is a well told tale, that carries many important messages about life and people, and the people in your life. It can be watched by children and surely they will enjoy it, but should you be an adult with even the smallest of spark of child left within you, it will be the strong breath, that metamorphizes that spark back into a flame, like tinder in the wind.
For remembering the world within and the magic of a world seen through childs eyes alone, this movie is worth watching. But it is much more, a well told story, told well and how rare that has become.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2024This is one of me and my 18 yr old’s favorite movies. I love the story and the animation. There are some good life lessons in this movie, if you are willing to see them.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2023This movie was a beautiful surprise that we stumbled across a few years ago. We have watched it many times since, and now own it. It's on par with other beautiful, animated masterpieces like Song of the Sea, My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo, Arriety, etc. It's like a cozy blanket and a warm cup of tea; it just makes me happy. The story is for older children to adults, but my youngest was quite young when we first watched it. It's a good conversation starter for several topics such as: how to interact with strangers, lying, talking to parents, divorce, school, success, values, death/loss, etc. Although most of the deeper topics will fly over the heads of little ones, it's not a movie to mindlessly plunk them down in front of; it's a lovely work of art to be enjoyed together (or by yourself). The story is such a brilliant twist to a favorite classic, and the animation is gorgeous. This film is a treasure hidden in the vast array of mediocre nonsense aimed at children.

5 stars might seem a bit much but this is something so many people should watch. Any person who has contact with children should watch and read the story. Simply put the message is one that is timeless. It is not a question of 'never grow up, always be a child', such a thing is impossible. Instead The Little Prince, challenges the viewer to consider how one must grow up but challenges them not to forget. This brings the viewer back to seeing the world through the eyes of a child, while asking questions through careful symbolism that is certain to keep you curious. The snake, the fox, the rose, the plane crash, and the modern day re-telling that parallels the story as you watch it brings you to question what you see around you helps you look at it through a new critical lens. As soon as I saw the trailer for this movie it spoke to me in a way that can't be described, all I knew was that I had to see it. Once I saw it and found out it was a book, I quickly got a hold of it and it did not disappoint it. Anyone who is a teacher, ECE, or has regular contact with children should watch this film to consider the world through an adult and child's eyes. It does not present it in a way that forces you to take sides, but just brings you to question what you have taken for granted for so long.

5.0 out of 5 stars Belle histoire
Je n'ai pas lu le livre, je voulais un meilleur aperçu de cette histoire, je l'ai eu. Merci Petit Prince, merci plutôt Petite Princesse, car c'est surtout la petite fille dans le film qui m'a fait vibrer.
