Memory foam ear tips deliver a comfortable fit and exceptional noise isolation. For those who prefer silicone ear tips, we’ve got you covered with 4 different sizes.

The full price for these elsewhere is currently just under £200. Im astounded that they are still being sold for this price, I certainly wouldn't pay that money. Using with an iPhone 7 to listen to FLAC, AIFF, WAV, MP3 tracks as well as naitive iTunes tracks. Im experiencing a good depth of bass and wide range across each format, if pushed, more so with FLAC (obviously!) The ear pieces are surprisingly light but still feel high quality. The control button is located around 12cm from the Left earpiece and takes a little getting used to if familiar with other makes where the control is further away from the earpiece. The earpieces are not the best fit - far from snug. I use on the train and despite trying different sized buds and with little if any movement, i'm constantly having to adjust these and push them back into place. Very dissapointing. The noise cancellation unit, sits around 7cm from the Jack, is around 4.5cm Dia and 12mm Thick. Despite its size, there's barely any weight to it, which is surprising as it contains the cancelling circuitry and a battery. It is an intrusive design if your using on the go, and is a little off-putting as a result. The battery last about 60 minutes continuous use after a full charge. I cant help wondering if the size could be reduced or perhaps a smaller different design. I'm struggling to distinguish between when ANC is on and off! It is just far to subtle for my liking and is a pointless addition - it doesn't add any value for me. I have used other similar products, namely Bose and agree with other commenters that they are far more superior than the B & O. I bought these perhaps with higher expectations than they could deliver. A let down in areas where it should not. Poor value for money in my view. 12 months later; The rubber sleeve on the right ear piece has split and is hanging off - this is not a result from inappropriate use, i would imagine inferior materials not able to endure the stresses encountered through reasonable use, is a contributory factor.

I have now been using these for a bit and I have to say that the sound quality is the best I have heard with in-ear headphones. This is for rock, folk, jazz and classical. Bass is realistic and solid/controlled, trebles and mids beautifully laid out on the sound stage. All is very clear. Nothing is missing. Using these is a true pleasure. This is of course the most subjective part of any review, so I'll just say - it is excellent for me, a middle-aged (as my teenage son never fails to point out) man who likes various kinds of music (as listed), but not necessarily garage, drum and bass, dubstep or other bassy genres.

What I read here about the microphone effect (cables rubbing) is true for me too, you can hear the cables loud and clear, but that's not an issue for me. I don't use these top quality headphones for running or exercise, or even while walking, so no problem here. I can see how this could be an issue though. The cables are thick, good quality and not hugely pliable.

The noise cancellation was a problem to start off with, I even contacted B&O about (and asked a question here). It was up until I picked the right ear-tip, got the position of the headphone right, so that it sat nice and deep, and went on the plane with them. Yes, it works. Not wonderfully well, does not 'produce silence' like Bose QC20, but it does dampen the aircraft noise quite a bit. I guess there has to be a compromise between sound quality and ANC.

If you are unhappy with the sound or ANC, I suggest experimenting with the various ear-tips supplied, positions in your ear. To counter the microphone effect - moving the cables around. Finally, the sound improves with use - they get even better - I did not think that was possible with this pair.

Tired of repeatedly spending £10-£30 on earphones I thought I'd take a chance and drop a bit more money on a set. Seeing that these had active noise cancelling, were approx half price and were B&O so fulfilling some brand snobbery as well, I thought I'd go for it.

They come in the usual premium 'experience' box to that opening it is a bit of event. And come with a range of tips for your ears.

As mentioned in other reviews the cables are quite thick and quite stiff so they do transmit bumps and knocks to the ear. You might want to consider how you are going to use these phones. I'd guess that they would not be particularly suitable for cycling or running.

The sound is good from these if not remarkable. On a par with say a £45 pair of Sennheisers I've owned previously. But if you use the initially fitted memory foam tips the sound is pretty muffled, bass heavy and a bit disappointing. Switching to the silicon tips improves things a lot.

I've never had active noise cancelling before so I've nothing to compare these to. But... in areas where there is a constant low hiss/rumble of background noise I thought the effect was quite remarkable. On a train or in the train station the reduction in background noise was much larger than I expected yet allowing you to hear more prominent noises such as announcements. The ANC uses a disc near the bottom of the cable and requires charged using a micro sub cable.

I should say the design of the 3.5mm plug seems to have changed from the one in the reviews which mention repeated breaks. The current one seems to be a 90deg plug of fairly solid rubber so it looks like B&O have addressed the problem.

Overall I'd say I am quite happy with these for the price I paid £89, full price I'm not sure I'd be so impressed since the sound performance of these is good but not great.

Liked them, sounded great to start with. I've only had them a short time, used less than 20 times and because the design of the noise cancellation unit being so close to the jack there is now a loose connection turning my music off if I move even a little bit. Beware as a very expensive set of headphones to use on the move. My Sony MDR EX650s sound so much better for a 3rd of the price
