- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 January 2017I bought this to replace my Day One Xbox One due to a recent TV upgrade. I'm really not a fan of the bright white console so when I saw this, I knew I had to get it and I wasn't disappointed.
The One S is a massive improvement over the previous console, it's a lot smaller and also seems to run faster too. The storm grey is a really nice colour and fits in well with the rest of my electronics under the TV. HDR gaming is truly amazing (I've played Gears 4 and FH3), the games look awesome. I've also got myself a couple of 4K HDR blu-rays and damn they look good! Overall, very happy with my purchase and I look forward to getting some more 4K blu-rays soon.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 October 2024The item arrived in supposedly good condition. This was not so. Pairing button missing, lots of wear. After two days the item stopped working. initiated return. All ok, just return in factory reset condition and no passwords on it. Well after explaing that this was not possible, due to machine not communicating with any controls and then no screen at all, also a clicking noise when power is going to machine, even when switched off. HOW? So after numerous emails, two calls to Amazon customer services and then passed up further, same communication, return in reset condition? standard email reply. Either someone is deliberatly stalling, not reading and regarding emails, or pleading ignorance, who knows? Saga continues...
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 June 2019The best thing since sliced bread. I was abit late to the Xbox One upgrade from 360 party, so I treated myself to this alternative edition.
I love the Matt Grey colour; although, it does stand out against my other TV things.
Pros:
. Not a PS4 (just kidding...maybe)
. The colour is great
. Gameplay is second to none
Cons:
. Jumbo jets produce less decibels than this sometimes
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 January 2017After 5 years of praising my xBox360, a gamer has to do what a gamer has to do & go for this baby. It is the slate grey one via Amazon at a competitive price. The way it picked up my router wifi etc was a mite unnerving, but it sure does what it say on the tin! It is slightly smaller than the 360 & is on HDMI2 with the 360 on HDMI1 on the large screen Blaupunkt TV. I'm coming down my learning curve & hope in time to be as adept with the newer features as my grandsons are with theirs! The comparison with the two models will be fascinating - I have long considered the 360 as the best device to emerge from the Microsoft stable - so now we'll put it to the test. It gets at least a 4 star rating at this stage. (I went for the 500Gb rather than the larger storage capacity, as my 360 still has plenty of storage capacity on it - partly by deleting old or unwanted programmes.)

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 May 2017I'm happy we went for this colour and not the classic black or white. It's quite beautiful and fun to play on. Doesn't take much space either..especially if you also buy the vertical stand for it.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 December 2016Xbox One S is a total rip off! Only very few Xbox 360 games will work on on this machine. Don't let them fool you with their 'long list' of backward compatible games, because its only the s*** stuff that no one plays. 4K Blu Ray player will not work on most UHD TV's. HDR will not work on most TV's. Streaming to Windows 10PC is a hoax, because you need more equipment to connect a controller to the PC. No black console available in EU. etc. Microsoft completely missed the boat on this one... don't buy it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 April 2017I get a bit frustrated having to download so much all the time, but my kids love it, and the graphics are amazing.
