Dual Fuel Burner with Adjustable Snuffer

Bringing your fondue to the ideal temperature is easy with the dual fuel burner. Simply fill it with methylated spirits or gel fuel (supplied separately) and light to get it burning.

There's an adjustable snuffer, so you can easily adjust the flame once your cheese, chocolate or oil has reached the right temperature. And with the cast iron pot's superior heat retention properties, you don't have to use as much fuel either.

    This is a really good set. after visiting Chamonix earlier in the year (alpine cheese Heaven) we decided to get one.
    A good tip we found if you are having cheese fondue,has it can be a bit heavy, try having some cherry tomotoes with it.
    Its Easy to use, and clean.
    This set was also very good value for the money, so we have no complaints about it at all.

    Sturdy and good value item. It gets used a lot - I tend not to use the lid at all as it restricts the opening and to be honest it isn't necessary at all. Ok, the forks occasionally get a bit tangled because of no lid, but all part of the fun! Easy to light and easy to keep clean

    I got this for my wife. It's good and sturdy and seems to do everything that a fondue set should do... Bear in mind, if you get it (or another fondue set for that matter) that fondue making can be tricky - different recipes give different advice. It's best to practice a few times before you make a disaster at your dinner party. Also, heat can be a real issue - if the temperature is too high then your fondue could separate, if too low then it will just congeal and get cold. We got fondue gel for this - the first time it seemed to be too hot, so the next time we used a tealight which had the opposite problem. I think the burner in this set can be adjusted (to some extent) so we will have to try that next time.

    Make sure you also buy some gel cartridges (or similar).
    And I now need to buy extra forks, so I can share the joy around with a bigger party of people!

    I ordered the fondue gift set to take with us to Switzerland (I know, coals to Newcastle and all that!!) for a Christmas/New Year skiing holiday. Unfortunately I made the mistake of not checking the contents on receipt, preferring to leave the packaging intact as it was a Christmas gift and had to travel with us by car to our destination. When my wife opened the set in Switzerland we found that although the contents were complete, the enamel on the pan itself was badly chipped, leaving us with the difficult decision between changing our New Year's Eve dining plans in order to return the set to the UK for return to Amazon, or pressing ahead regardless. We decided on the latter.

    As a fondue set it worked fine and, aside from the chipped enamel, the set looked stylish and did everything that you expect a fondue set to do ie heat fondue! Using the burner was straightforward (even though we didn't strictly follow the instructions in terms of the fuel used) and it washed up easily. A very good value product at the Amazon price - I have seen less stylish sets at much higher prices in the UK (and certainly in Switzerland!). Would certainly have been a five star review but for the chipped enamel which, though it has little impact on functionality, is likely to get worse over time.

    We are 99.9% confident that the damage occurred prior to delivery to us, not in transit to Switzerland, because the set (still in its original packaging) was carefully packed along with glassware which survived the 800+ mile journey unscathed! Moral of the story is to check your goods when you receive them, not after reaching the point of no return!

    It is easy to use, looks great, has a good burner with heat control and the pot is just the right size for 4-6 people.

    The forks are colour coded so you don't mix them up.

    I bought mine as a gift for my girlfriend, and I have never seen anyone smile so much...after all, everyone loves fondue!

    Only flaw are the forks. the handles are held by plastic caps which melted and got loose on the first use and started to rust off straight after the first wash. had to get a new set of different make which was cheap anyway. the pot itself feels like is worth a lot more than the price paid, so i'm very happy with it
