- Reviewed in the United States on April 17, 2014After deciding that smoothies might be a good addition to our life, for nutrition as well as for weight loss, I found this book on Amazon. Being a little nervous about the idea of drinking green stuff to replace an entire meal, this book settled our nerves after trying our first recipe. It has become our daily, #1 "go-to" resource. It is a great book for finding a variety of recipes that covers a range of nutritional purposes because each recipe tells you where it fits into your nutrition plan. For example a recipe may be rich in antioxidants, or another may help speed up your metabolism. Each recipe also explains the nutritional value of the supplements recommended for that recipe and why it's recommended. The recipes are written in a short, conscience way that is easy to understand, especially if you are a beginner. The best part is that every recipe has been as delicious as it is nutritious. I would, and already have, recommend this book to anyone looking for a great resource for "smoothing" yourself to better health.

I recently read that it's useful to eat one orange food per day, so the carrot recipes were of special interest to me. Each recipe ended with the suggestion to "put in a blender and whiz." I don't know why, but I got a kick out of that end to almost each recipe. It's true,
though, the recipes were that easy to pull together. No reason not to try an occasional smoothie thanks to this useful book.

Not a ton of details to slow down the reading and experimenting. It is just what it says it is a "recipe book". The pictures are clear and simple. You almost don't need to read the instructions. This is so easy even a third grader could come home from school and whip up a healthy after school snack. Regarding all the one star critics, I did not see anything related to infomercial in this book. So I am assuming the author listened and cleaned it up to the version I now see and love. I am not a newbie to juicing, but still I added several ingredients and changed up my repertoire because of it. Free is also a very good price.

The ingredients are simple, stuff you can find at a regular grocery store or may already have on hand. (I've seen so many smoothie recipes that require exotic fruits or stuff that can only be found in specialty stores.)
As far as the reviews calling this an "infomercial" or just an ad for this guy's business, it's pretty standard for ebooks to contain links to the author's website and info about their other materials. Yes, he's offering a free book to attract more customers. It's called marketing.

I also learned about how and why each unique fruit and vegetable benefits our bodies in different ways. Adashun also introduces Chia seeds and flax seeds and explains how to use them. There are weight loss, antioxidant and breakfast shakes. Adashun has written an excellent book..These smoothies look delicious, which means getting healthy will taste great: a resolution I'll be happy and able to stick to!! I would recommend this book to everyone!!

I had question about some products that i thought were not good the take, he the author releaved that problem. Delicious resipes for smoothies. He recommends whey protein and other things to place in your smoothies. We all get tired and run out of energy, but this is the answer for more energy and better health while losing weight. The recipes are short, easy to read and easy to do...throw everything in a blender and whiz (the author's word). It isn't great literature but it does make you want to try a recipe or two.
I would have liked a little more information such as WHERE to buy the matcha tea, perhaps calorie counts, and maybe substitutions for almond milk if one is allergic to almonds. But it is just a booklet of smoothie recipes and lives up to its promise of delivering smoothie recipes. You just might like to try one. Will they help you lose weight? Don't know the answer to that one.
