    Great!
Love my Flex! Great little boost to keep me active and motivates me to do some exercise! Especially when I'm on the app as it gets competitive against my friends. Despite some doubts, the clip in fastening on the wristband has held up well and I haven't lost it yet. It does get a bit grubby if you don't wipe it down a lot and somehow collects water from washing your hands in the little tracker compartment! There's no indicator that the battery is low except for if you sync it and get an email. I love it and wear it every day, but the extra bands are so expensive for what they are! **UPDATE Oct16** I had to request a replacement wristband as the original black one was tearing near the tracker insert. However, Fitbit customer service was great and a new one was sent out within a few days. Reduced original star rating to 4/5

Having previously purchased an activity tracker from another manufacturer, which I was unable to use as it needed to interact with a specific app, which proved to be incompatible with either my tablet or mobile phone, I chose the Fitbit Flex.

The reason for my choice was that it includes a dongle, which enables it to interact with my PC and uploads data whenever I am close by. In addition, my existing tablet and mobile phone, although unable to directly access the data from the Fitbit Flex, are able to access what has been uploaded via the PC dongle from the Fitbit app, which is accessible to them via the Internet.

The Fitbit Flex has for the most part turned the process of attempting to achieve weight loss, (which was my main reason for having purchased it) into a logical mathematical process, in which calories burned and calories eaten are compared and analysed via the essential Fitbit app. The latter also serves to applaud progress by acknowledging achievement as predetermined goals are reached.

The only negative comment I would make is that I do complete an intensive daily workout on a high quality (and expensive) elliptical trainer, which facilitates a really strenuous exercise regime and reflects its own findings on a comprehensive screen. When I enter these manually into the Fitbit Flex app (having removed the Fitbit Flex during this activity), I do not believe that the results on the app provide an accurate interpretation of the facts. (My main reason for having said this is that there have been many occasions when I ought not to have lost weight, but have found that I have, due to the mismatch between my own activity level and the Fitbit app’s interpretation of the same.)

Consequently I would still regard the Fitbit Flex as a five-star piece of equipment, as it does most things well and is a prime source of motivation for those such as myself.

However I would suggest that ardent athletes and others wishing to monitor activity more precisely would opt for a Fitbit device that monitors heart rate more specifically, in order to fine tune their results appropriately.

My husband bought this for me when our third baby was a couple of months old. He knew that what with the constant feeding and cuddling with the baby and playing on the floor with the toddlers, I had been getting concerned about how much I was actually being able to be active during the day. I had been trying to monitor how much activity I had been able to do with the iPhone steps counter but because I don't always have my phone physically on me it wasn't very acturate. So I was very happy when he presented me with the Fitbit Flex. He chose the lilac one which I love. As it's on your wrist every day you want to have a colour and design you like. It's comfy to wear, I mostly forget that it is on my wrist. Although I don't wear it to sleep in as I do find it catches when I put my hand under my pillow but I don't really want to monitor how much sleep I'm not getting when I get up with a baby all night! I like the fact you can tap the band and it lights up with up to five lights for how much of your target steps you have done. So if I haven't got three lights lit by lunch I know I need to move more in the afternoon. Also it vibrates when you have reached your target number of steps. The iPhone app is laid out well and it's easy to see how many steps you have taken and when you have been active. There are also other useful bits in the app like recording your weight and calories but I don't use those bits. It was easy to set it all up when I got it and link it to the app. The battery lasts well. I usually get about five days of use before having to recharge and it emails me when the battery is low if I forget to check. Overall the fitbit flex has been great to get my activity levels up again and a great present from my husband.

My wife and I bought ourselves a Flexbit Flex each after watching the Horizon programme on BBC2 about health parameter monitoring. I suffer from high blood pressure due to hypertension and have once produced a high glucose level for a diabetes 2 test meaning that my local health centre keeps a watchful eye on me. I installed the programme on our Macbook Pro laptop and have connected both our iPads to the system with the supplied dongle fastened on the Macbook. Electronically the system works well and syncs as soon as I connect the Macbook, the computer copes easily with the fact that we have two accounts and automatically sends the correct data to the ipads, and the operation is seamless. The data is now beginning to build up and is showing useful patterns in managing my day to day living and provides ideal graphical presentations of my sleep patterns which can be somewhat broken and my blood pressure and glucose levels which I input manually. My wife is an ex-aerobics instructor and she is delighted with the easy recording of her morning run. In addition we take an extended and energetic walk with the dogs at least once daily and while I don't know how accurate the step measurement is, at least it is consistent which is all that one can ask for realistically. The only downs I have are that I wear a fairly large and heavy watch on my left wrist and this interferes a bit with the strap but I am getting used to it and can't say that I really notice too much, also the arrow marking on the "bean" is very faint meaning I have to put my reading glasses on to see it, again a fault which will disappear with familiarity. I hope we don't get too much in the way of technical reliability problems but time will tell. So far, so very good!

Dabei unterstützt mich die "My Fitness Pal" app.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfetto e funzionante, l'unica pecca è la sincronizzazione con Android
Reviewed in Italy on 31 March 2014

The Flex works really well and is very accurate. It seemlessly syncs with my phone or computer whenever I need. I like that it's very simple, but there is a lot of information on the app that you can record and reference. I also like that you can change out the band colors to better match your outfits if you choose to where the fitbit all day long. The sleep tracker works well and is easy to turn on and off. If you are a sleeper that does not move around much, you may have to adjust the sensitivity. I also enjoy that you can switch it to your dominant hand and still have it read accurately. I charge it about once a week and it does not take very long. When you are watching TV at night, charge the FitBit and it will be ready to go when you are ready for bed or in the morning.
