- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 June 2016I absolutely LOVE this watch. It has had a positive impact on my training and recovery, it looks great, it's easy to use, the USB charging facility is fantastic, the battery life is surprisingly good, it's great value, and the app that goes with it is really helpful. I use the app now instead of a training diary, and it records all of my training sessions.
I'm a rower and do a lot of training, so was glad to see that it had a specific rowing category on it to save those sessions separately from the rowing machine and other things (a lot of other similar watches don't acknowledge rowing as a separate sport). I can record notes of what I did in my session on the app and how I felt. Then the app records speeds, has GPS for where you go, and gives really useful heart rate feedback. I also use it on the rowing machine (which is a separate sport on the watch - good) and the way it shows graphs of your heart rate on the app is incredibly useful to see how the session went. For weights training, there's also that as an option. I don't record my heart rate in that because it wouldn't be useful information, but I do click the button because then I'm able to save the session and record it on the app. I've also used it for running, hill walking, spinning and cycling and it's been great.
During sessions, you can set the watch screen to show certain information (so for example, on mine I prefer to see the time, how long I've been going and my heart rate on the main screen) and then flick through to other screens to get other information you might not necessarily want to know most of the time (e.g. I could check the distance covered when I'm out rowing, or my speed). It's easy to read and navigate.
You can wear the watch when you're asleep and it analyses your sleep by telling you how much restful sleep you had etc. That was sort of useful, but as the watch is quite bulky I found it too uncomfortable to sleep wearing without it being a bit of a burden. Also it's depressing after a bad night's sleep to see just how crap it was!
For serious athletes, the way it descibes your daily activity as a % is a bit unhelpful. Even though I have it on the most 'active' setting so the watch is aware I do a lot of training, I can do one rowing session in the morning before work and it'll already be on 110% before most people get out of bed! I guess it's good for feeling smug if you do a lot of training, but a function like that is probably more useful for people who aren't used to doing a lot of training.
The Polar Flow web service is also really useful. My coach has access to all of my training through that so he can look at my heart rate on rowing machine sessions to see how hard I found it, rather than relying on me saying how hard it was. You can also use the web service to zoom in on graphs of sessions to get more specific numbers and averages, so it's very handy.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 November 2016Ive had the watch now for 8 months and use it at least 5 times per week for various exercise. The watch itself is large but comfortable. Once connected to th App and set up, the watch is extremely easy to use. It connects to the App easily and syncs with the push of 1 button, which means I can see the data from my exercise within minutes. The GPS is found quickly - quicker than any other watch I have had - and is very accurate. The watch display can be set to display whatever data you will find useful and can be amended in the App. There are many exercises to select and customise in the App for use on the watch with ease. The charge on the watch does last a long time which was unexpected and charges quickly when required.
The HR monitor is a must to track your HR, calories and fat burn. The strap sits comfortably around the chest, although the Bluetooth receiver can be a little uncomfortable under sports bra's. The only downside is the rate at which the battery needs replacing. I must replace my battery at least every month and I buy good quality batteries. It doesn't always alert you that the battery is low either, resulting in starting exercise and discovering it is not finding your HR because the battery has died. The other downside is the HR chest strap. Mine became cracked within a very short time of using it, which gradually became worse, resulting in large cracks which made the HR chest strap uncomfortable to wear (rubbing). After only 8 months the chest strap is totally unwearable as it has ripped through.
In all, I really like this watch - the ease of use and the data it provides. But please sort out the chest strap.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 October 2015I Bought this watch and Heart rate Monitor to replace my old dated Fitbit Flex. Did consider the Fitbit Charge or Surge. However, after reading reviews, and doing allot of research I bought this for the accuracy of the HR monitor. Unlike most people that buy this product, I did not buy it for running, but for mainly doing cardio and weight \ strength training.
The Heart Rate Monitor, with Polar Beats App for the Live stats (on my IPad) while I am working out, and Polar Flow app to analyse the data afterwards is just amazing, totally new dimension to my training. The live stats during the work out, letting you know what heart rate zone you’re in really motivates and spurs you on to push harder. Used for the first time this morning, and was buzzing after it.
The watch has GPS for running, (I will do some) and can also display the Heart Rate and other stats during a workout. It also does the text, email etc. notification (something I really love) when linked to the phone via Bluetooth. One minor problem I had this morning when starting was that, I usually pair my phone with my Bluetooth headphones, to listen to music while working out, but I also wanted to use the Polar Beats app linked to the Heart Rate Monitor. You can only pair your phone with one Bluetooth device at a time, so I had to use the IPad instead. In hindsight it is actually better on this, as the screen is obviously bigger. Need to get a wall mount now for the IPad!
Real shame it does not have the silent alarm, it the one thing I will miss from my Fitbit flex, unless I ware it on my other wrist! But I think I will like the Notification to tell me I have been sitting down to long, and that its time to move.
I am addicted to fitness at the moment, and love gadgets, so this was the perfect upgrade for me.
Still concerned about the issue some have reported that it has totally stopped working after 3 months, but fingers crossed this does not happen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Calidad y buen precio

5.0 out of 5 stars A la hauteur de mes espérences
Excellent!

5.0 out of 5 stars Oui oui très bien!

4.0 out of 5 stars Mein ganz persönlicher Sport-Coach...
