Yes it does light up ! I just received this in the mail the other day and first of all I was surprised to see how big and life like it was! It looks so real it is unbelievable! He stands 16inches tall and his body does move 360 degrees! It does recognize my sons voice as well as it has 115 phrases! his sword lights up and my son LOVES it! He&#39;s so excited I HIGHLY recommend! I think this is a great value for this ANAZING toy! This is sure to be a keeper ! My son puts it back in the box after he plays with it because he wants to keep it nice ! Well made toy!

Yes! When you ask him certain phrases the light saber lights up. It has to be plugged into his hand properly to work.

Just as everyone else says, yes it does. But what no one has mentioned is that when it lights up the light progresses from the handle to the tip just as in the movies. It also provides sound effects that are the same as well. When he deactivates it, likewise the light moves down the saber and the sound effects are also the same as in the movie. Really cool.

Yes it does but the first one i order it did not their was something wrong with it so i had to take it back the one i just got it comes on right away so if u order one and noticed the lightsaver is not working when u tell yoda u want to be a jedi take it back and get a new one

Somewhat. We have him on there now doing questions and training. He does not move well in force mode on carpet. We have a low pile rug

Not really. If you only have carpet you are really limiting his already limited actions.

Maybe if it is flat enough? None of mine is. I have a low pile &amp; a berber &amp; it doesn&#39;t do much on those areas. It&#39;s great on hardwood, but it is still fun even when the body doesn&#39;t move around a ton, the arms still do.
