How Do Today's Kids Learn?

A New Generation of Learners. Playing is Learning

Our Think & Learn toys are for a new generation of learners. Kids learn the most when they’re having a great time playing, making things up, and figuring things out. So we developed toys that take their endless energy and enthusiasm and channel them into active learning – the kind that helps them understand ideas in a more physical, 'now you try it' kind of way. Think and Learn toys also build the skills outlined by the Partnership for 21st Century Learning (P21) – the 4Cs (communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking), plus the 3Rs (reading, ‘riting and ‘rithmetic).

Play Builds a Foundation for Life

When kids are playing and exploring the world around them, they’re learning how to learn and how to think about concepts, both simple and complex. When they’re having fun with friends, they’re learning to communicate and collaborate. When kids are on the move, physically acting out what they’re trying to understand, the concepts are easier to explore and grab onto. When kids play, they’re becoming big thinkers and building the foundation they need for school and for life.

Concepts in action

When they play 'Red Light, Green Light' with Movi or get silly on the dance floor, critical thinking skills kick in as they follow directions.

The Future is in their Hands

  • This awesome robot buddy engages preschoolers' minds and bodies through super fun, interactive learning games. Think & Learn Teach 'n Tag Movi keeps kids thinking (and moving!), whether they're following directions, answering questions or busting out cool new moves. And with more than 60 different faces and the ability to move in all sorts of directions, Teach 'n Tag Movi keeps playtime fresh, active and fun.

3 Ways to Play

Teach 'n Tag Movi has 6 exciting games to play within 3 learn and move modes. In Alpha Fun Actions, kids can practice their ABCs while learning about different animals…and monkeying around just like them! 'B, Bear! Paws up in the air. Now growl like a bear.' Preschoolers can also practice following directions with the game Movi Says. Kids can learn about different shapes by answering the robot's questions and moving around with him. 'A circle is round, round as can be. Follow along and spin with me.' Silly Sounds Tag and Red Light, Green Light bring learning fun—and major laughs—in Learn & Play Games mode. 'You can walk, skip, jump, or hop. Just keep movin' till I say Stop.'

Developmental Skills

As preschoolers play, Teach 'n Tag Movi helps them learn important skills they’ll need as they head into kindergarten—like following directions and critical thinking—while getting them up and moving, too.

    Our 3 year-old loves it, our 2 year-old isn't so sure...
We have two toddlers: a 2 year-old and a 3 year-old. The 2 year-old is fascinated by robots, but also a bit intimidated. This little robot scared him and he preferred it in the "off" mode. My 3-year-old daughter really enjoyed the robot and had fun selecting the different games that are very easy for little kids to use. For the most part the games are easy for toddlers to understand and they encourage lots of movement, which is a plus. We used this robot on hardwood floors and it ran well, haven't tried it on carpet yet. This robot cannot "see" or sense where it is going, so it will run into walls, furniture, and toes on occasion. You need to give it some decent room so that it can move in circles without hitting anything. A plus with this toy is that there are two volume modes, loud and medium. And even the loud is not crazy loud. I also like that when you turn this robot off, it just turns off immediately, it doesn't say "Bye!" or anything annoying. This little guy takes four C batteries which they say is good for 6.5 hours of total run time. That doesn't seem like a long time, so be prepared to buy batteries.
