From the author of the bestselling book everyone is talking about, The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k.
How to stop worrying about what you should do, so you can finish what you need to do and start doing what you want to do.
Ever find yourself snowed under at the office - or even just glued to the sofa - when you really want to get out (for once), get to the gym (at last), and get started on that daunting dream project you're always putting off? Or if you are confined to barracks and that's driving you nuts, then it's time to get your sh*t together.
In The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k, 'anti-guru' Sarah Knight introduced the joys of mental decluttering. Get Your Sh*t Together takes you one stop further - organizing the f*cks you want and need to give to help you quit your day job and move abroad, balance work and fun - and save money while you're at it - or simply get out of the door for happy hour, every day.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 February 2017Loved it. Witty and useful is an uncommon combination and this one manages it. There's a reason Sarah Knight's books have made it to the best seller list. She states the obvious to the oblivious in a way that is entertaining rather than patronising. I already think I have my sh*t together reasonably well but the volume of practical common sense tips in it mean that everyone will find something useful in it that they can apply to their lives. I will be buying a copy for my boyfriend who is severely ADD, has zero organisational skills and even less concept of time. He's not stupid by any means but for example there is a huge discrepancy between how long he thinks it will take him to do something (shower and dress in 15 mins) and how long it actually takes him to do something (still in the shower after 45 mins). Something as simple as timing himself to find out how long it takes him to do things and adjust his schedule accordingly would never have crossed his mind and would go a long way to helping him turn up less than an hour late to things. I have already recommended this to several people and will continue to.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 March 2018Better than 'The Life-changing Magic of', but not as good as 'You Do You'.
It's a fun, empowering book to read, packed with tips which may or may not be relevant for you.
However I do agree with what another reviewer said about small parts of the book being changed to make sense to the British audience such as Royal Mail being mentioned instead of an American postal company. It just sounds bizarre and I would just prefer to have read the original version. There are also some bits of the book where things more relevant to the UK are mentioned (such as travelling on the Eurostar) and I am unsure of what has and hasn't been substituted from the original, and it makes the book less authentic. I have rated it down a star because of this.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 April 2017A direct and honest account of the common mistakes and problems we all face but are too afraid or blinded to own up to. You do not have to be underachieving to seek her help in fact she is an advocate for overachievers everywhere too! Sarah knight does not shy away from giving us a slight telling off, though her intentions are in the best place and without judgement. If you're looking at buying this book it's more than likely that you feel you need some home truths and if that's the case this is the book for you. I listened to the majority of this audiobook on my trip home and after the 5 hour journey had passed, I was somewhat shocked and appaulded at myself that I hadn't realised how simple it truly is to get my sh*t together. By the time I had finished listening I'd already categorised my emails (my inbox is empty for the first time in 3 years), cleaned my flat to the standard of Kim and Aggie and put a To do list on my fridge door, so I could no longer ignore it. It might not seem like much but this is not a self help book that promises over night results nor is it likely to tell you meditation is the solution you've been over looking. It is more of a tool to help you, step by step, overcome the obstilces that are hindering your happiness in both work and general life. She reduces the anxiety associated with life changes and proves as a comfort, giving you a head start in what ever endeavours you seek. It's a realistic way to take the first step in becoming a better more productive version of yourself. Beautifully written and hysterically relevant, her witty remarks had me laughing whilst surprisingly still learning. There is no need for self help to be so dull. Why should it be? After all the end goal is happiness right? So why not start with a laugh or two. It's much more satisfying to hear from someone with personal relation to the strategies they share. I'd much rather hear from someone with life experience than someone who defines me as a text book case, which I have experience with too. This is a must read for those who need help immediately and it's still a must read for even those who don't know a problem exists yet. You might just learn something you didn't know. It's brilliant.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 22 January 2018If you have read any of Sarah Knight's book then you will know that this is a self help book filled with humor, relatable situations and great advice to make you more selfish and to remember to put yourself first and make it through life being a nice person but loving yourself and organizing your priorities.
This had me laughing and crying which surprised you and me both! It makes you realize the obvious that was right there in front of you. But written like a diary and not telling you to do this and do that to feel like this.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Life Road Map For Everyone
I bought this book as a gift for one of my grown children who was at a crossroad in his life. Before I gave it to him, I read a bit and I was hooked.Ms. Knight has a very entertaining "voice" and this book is packed with a step-by-step program of how to stop floundering in unhappiness and identify your real goals - those that have been on your life's wish list - and how to realistic go after them and attain them. I loved this book so much, I kept it for myself (*blush) and ordered three more to gift to each of my grown children, who in turn, all reported that they found it to be a great motivational as well as entertaining read. Highly recommended!

Super bueno el libro & lo que comparte la escritora con sus lectores. Me encanto! Llego en menos tiempo de lo esperado. El único pero, es que me llego un poco sucio, como si lo hubieran tenido fuera de empaque por algunas semanas..... pero lo limpie lo mejor que pude & el contenido es lo importante.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Sh*t, Tough Sh*t
After spending my second month being functionally homeless, living somewhere between a series of guest rooms and my car, I splurged on a last minute trip back home to smoosh my neice's face. I was casually sipping my airport margarita and passing through the bookstore, when I made eye contact with "Get Your Sh*t Together" for the first time.
My first reaction was to yell "don't tell me what to do!" and clutch my boozy sippy cup to my chest. But the subtitle won me over. I *do* kinda wanna do stuff...
I read the first 100 pages before I got to my parents' house. That sh*t sounded easy. I have that sh*t together. I love my job, my emails are brief, I know how long it takes me to shower and shave (8-12 minutes, depending on my vertical cut-off point).
That night, I tore into the tough sh*t. And let me tell you, it is some tough sh*t. Money? Relationships? Achk. DONT MAKE ME DO THIS, SARAH. But I kept reading. Because, c'mon. You spent $20 dollars on this thing. It's just a book. Who raised you?
So I stayed up until about 3:00 am. Most of that spent reading, but at least an hour spent staring at the ceiling fan and thinking about page 160.
I finished the book on my flight back to my current "home" this morning. Between the time spent with my family and reading this book, this weekend has been life changing. I am going into the next few weeks knowing that I can get sh*t done, as long as I break it down into manageable pieces. Step, by step. Moving toward what's best for me, so I can finally get my sh*t together.
