HORRIBLE QUALITYGiorgioNormally, over time, production processes and quality should only improve, but not for IKEA!!!
I have known and had the Kallax series for at least 10 years, before the quality was more than sufficient, excellent weight, excellent finishing, now the products have been totally lightened, metal parts replaced by plastic, horrible gluing. Unfortunately there are not many alternatives to Ikea around...

Giving 1 star to be able to review PaulinaI bought it in person. I was absolutely in love with the way it looked. I haven’t been able to build it. It’s an absolute nightmare. The pegs are so cheap that they break in the middle of building. I feel like I literally wasting my money. Literally three people trying to build a shelf And all that ended up happening is all the pieces chipping and breaking

Defective Manufacturing IssueRachelI called IKEA today to let them know this needs to be recalled. When i went to add glassdoor/shelf inserts i found out the walls of this unit are completely hollow, rendering all hinges useless and if someone tries to attach this to a wall for safety they may not realize it until it is too late and a child has been crushed by it. I luckily don’t need to attach to wall but i ended up using drywall anchors and Mr Grip in the hinge holes so that the screws don’t pop out when i put the doors on. Never had an issue with any product until this one and my whole house is IKEA furniture.
Awful quality controlTiffanyHonestly if I can give zero stars I would. What a headache to build. The quality control is practically nonexistent. We had to go back to ikea twice to swap out warped pieces. Some of the planks had the holes drilled too deep and some not deep enough, so you can see the pegs poking through the wood making an indent. Or the fit between the short plank and the long planks were not a good fit and you can see the pegs sticking out. I’m not sure if the color you choose has anything to do with it but we had a ton of issues with this in the white oak. I would love to provide some photos to show the awful build quality.
