Adds great taste to baking!
This adds great flavor in place of normal brown sugar. It has a much deeper taste but blends well. It's smoother and stickier. An enjoyable taste in coffee too! I would recommend any one trying it out at least once or twice. I am going to use it in a marinade for meat as well.

    For years I've been trying to find this product. A decade ago, Target had Mauritius brown sugar on their store shelves. I've not seen any since. I started looking for this and found it in the Amazon marketplace (surprise, surprise...NOT).

    The flavor is like the best molasses you've ever tasted. It's a bit pricy so it won't replace regular brown sugar in my pantry. But I indulge myself for sweeten oatmeal and for making Irish coffee. I will use it for apple pies and pumpkin pies.

    If cost isn't an issue...splurge and use it in any that calls for brown sugar. Bakers? Be amazed. Brown sugar doesn’t get any better than this.

    This is a good sugar with the great molasses aftertaste I wanted to sprinkle it on my coffee but no matter how much I messed it up or stirred it with a fork or put it in the Shaker and shake it to break it apart it's stubbornly refused to stay unclump I would definitely use it when I'm baking rye bread or some kind of coffee cake or pineapple upside down cake cuz it would be a great sugar for that as long as I had to scoop it in and mix it in with a mixer. I had watched a YouTube video on dark sugar and basically the sugar association's All-State that it's basically a regular white sugar with molasses add the den to create the darkness so I would probably go cheap and just use white cane sugar and add molasses to it until I got the right color and flavor

    I have purchased this two times now and it has never disappointed me. I have purchased this to make my brown sugar boba pearls and I don't think another brand can surpass this one. For anyone willing to try to make their own boba pearls or willing to bake with this, I don't think you will be disappointed, it is a good purchase.

    If you’re making Sticky Toffee Pudding there’s absolutely no substitute. This cannot be replaced with dark brown sugar, there is no comparison.

    You will be amazed at how good your baked goods taste when you use this dark muscovado brown sugar in place of dark or light brown sugar. I use this in my chocolate chip cookie recipe and also love it on oatmeal in the morning. It also takes chocolate cake to the next level of deliciousness. The sugar itself tastes a little like molasses and is slightly more salty tasting than regular brown sugar. I learned to love this brown sugar while living in Africa. When I came back to America I noticed brown sugar was different but didn't make the connection. Finally I found this sugar and it changed my baking forever. You will love it!

    The is the second time I’ve purchased this product. The first package was great. The sugar was soft, moist and flavorful. Perfect for my sticky toffee pudding cake. The second package received was as hard as a rock. I tried various methods to soften it up to no avail. I had to throw it away. I will give them one more try. It may have just been an isolated problem.
