About

LITTLE HURRICANE IN CONCERT:

Little Hurricane are causing a ruckus across the nation with their infectious blues-rock and unique band dynamic. Despite their minimal setup — the band often takes the stage with just a single guitar and drum kit — members Tone Catalano and C.C. Spina still manage to create an earth-shattering sound, mixing grungy guitars with sultry vocals to stunning effect. Whether they’re doing call-and-response on “Crocodile Tears” or delighting fans with new hits like “Sheep In Wolves Clothes,” Little Hurricane are set to take the US by storm as they head out on tour in support of their sophomore album Gold Fever.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Little Hurricane formed in 2009 when C.C. Spina hung up her chef's apron and decided to pursue drumming full-time, posting an ad on Craigslist in hopes of finding potential collaborators. Tone Catalano -- a recording engineer, songwriter, and guitarist -- quickly responded to the ad, and the two began writing music together in C.C.'s living room. Full of gritty guitars and methodical drum beats, Little Hurricane’s raw, bluesy tracks stem from influences by some of the best in rock including the Black Keys, Bob Dylan, and the White Stripes. Since generating significant buzz with their 2011 debut Homewrecker, the band has opened for artists like the Shins at Austin’s SXSW and been dubbed as a “San Diego blues duo set to break out” by Rolling Stone magazine. Little Hurricane’s latest release Gold Fever features the hit single “Sheep In Wolves Clothes” a blues-rock gem that is sure to be a live staple as the band returns to the stage for a string of highly anticipated tour dates.

Little Hurricane is criminally underrated. So much sound and talent for just 2 people. They are an absolute must-see band.

    Little Hurricane at A&R

by C7Racer on 4/23/17A and R Music Bar - Columbus

This was another awesome performance from Tone and C.C.. The venue was very intimate with very good sound. CC's mike could have used a touch more volume. I love this band and plan on seeing them whenever they are close. Great Concert. I was really surprised by Jennifer Hall what a fantastic voice. Very good opening act!

    Great show by Little Hurricane

by Skisby on 5/19/14Brighton Music Hall - Boston

& their opening act, Lincoln Durham really good, never heard of him before but picked up a cd before leaving! Little Hurricane put on a great show despite some sound system problems. Larger bar setting allowed everyone to be close to the stage. After the show everyone stuck around signing & taking photos

Best two person band since Black Keys

    by Jhenry087 on 5/13/14The Basement - Columbus

Have seen Little Hurricane 3 years straight now after I discovered them when they opened for Electric Six and they get better every year. Both CC and Tone are incredibly talented on drums and guitar respectively, and their new material is just as great as their debut album. Everyone else I've dragged to check this band out has fallen in love with them, too- cannot recommend their live show enough. Hits much harder than their already fantastic recorded material in the best possible way.

    Great show

by Anonymous on 5/13/14The Basement - Columbus

Awesome live show. One of those bands that sounds much more amazing live. Both of these artists are the real deal and the drums really come up life in the show. And at the price, how could you not see them?? Gold fever is a great album, maybe even better that their first. And the covers they played we're awesome, especially "ain't no sunshine". Can't wait to see them again and hear their upcoming stuff
