This ring light is honestly amazing and it will change the quality of your video and photo content forever. After reading all the reviews about bad packaging and broken bulbs i was in two minds whether or not to buy this item !!
But i decided to take the plunge and order one .
It did take a while to arrive, But when it did it was extremely well packaged and was in tact .
It came in its own case inside a tough cardboard box and that itself was packaged in another cardboard box full of padding. So i guess the negative reviews on packaging have been addressed and better precautions are being taken :-)
The light itself is well constructed , Dont get me wrong its not quite Pro gear but for the money its good value and works really well .
The bulb though dosn`t have any diffuser or cover over it , So if your likely to knock the bulb you may want to consider buying a diffuser too ;-)
The light is very bright but the dimmer works well , Although it seems to dim in three stages. High , medium and low ...

Overall i would recommend this item :-)

Initially, I loved the halo light. It was cheaper than I thought it would look and thought it was cheeky it didn’t come with a stand for the price it was asking, but regardless... I was happy with the purchase & loved the smart case it came with. That was until the third or fifth use of the light; the bulb just won’t keep up the brightness. As a vlogger it became irritating to see that through out the duration of a small 2 minutes the bulb had almost halved in brightness and no longer sufficiently lit my face. It’s now been stowed away for a few months - unused, so ... in conclusion, a waste of my money.

Before I purchased this light I read a lot of bad reviews about the light being damaged.
I took the chance and purchased it anyway and what a mistake it was.
When I decided the light it was taking about 5 mins to fully come one. Then the next time I put it on it wasn't working at all. I literally got 2 uses out of it before it broke.
I do not know what the problem with these lights are but they are not reliable.

First issue : There is no diffuser and the light is so bright it's blinding. I originally thought that as this light has a dimmer I wouldn't need the diffuser. WRONG! The dimmer isn't worth having as it doesn't really do the job that it should.

If you're considering this light for the dimmer, just buy the cheaper version and a diffuser.

Secondly, you will need a hot shoe to attach a camera to the light.

The light does work well you will just need the diffuser and hot shoe mount if you want to use it.

If you are using a big camera I would recommend having the ring light and then putting your own camera tripod behind it. The shot looks much better and just means your camera feels more safe and isn't much weight on that one little light stand. So don't bother with the mini ball attachment thing I say. I really wish they would sell bigger and better light stands that's all
