Product Description

The Magic Sleepsuit is a patented swaddle transition product that helps transition babies from the swaddle by providing them with a cozy, secure feeling. The Magic Sleepsuit was created by a mother of four who is a pediatric physical therapist to improve the quality and duration of her babies' sleep. The Magic Sleepsuit is designed for back sleeping in the bare crib only in a room at the recommended temperature for babies. The Magic Sleepsuit should not be used for co-sleeping, or with any sleep positioners.
The Magic Sleepsuit has a soft, breathable jersey cotton inner layer, a soft microfleece or cotton outer layer and a layer of polyfil in between for just enough comfort. The Magic Sleepsuit is designed to be introduced at approximately three months of age when babies are transitioning from the swaddle or smaller sleep space. Proper fit and timing of introduction are critical to the safety and effectiveness of the Magic Sleepsuit. Babies should be transitioned out of the Magic Sleepsuit when they roll over or try to roll over in it and are ready for more freedom of movement in their sleep.
The Magic Sleepsuit provides your baby with a cozy and calming sleep environment that will become a consistent part of their sleep routine. The Magic Sleepsuit is designed to aid in baby's sleep patterns, and give parents peace of mind that their baby is getting adequate rest necessary for appropriate growth and development.
MAGIC SLEEPSUIT DESIGN FEATURES
Double Zippers
Double zippers (with covers) for easy in/out of the suit and convenient diaper changes.
Open Hands and Feet
Open feet and hands to help keep baby at a comfortable temperature.
Scooped Neckline
Scooped neckline to help keep fabric away from baby’s face.

SIZING CHART
The sizing chart is based on industry standards and these size ranges are guidelines as all babies have different body types which can affect fit. Proper We recommend staying within our sizing guidelines for best results.

PROPER FIT AND TIMING
Ideally, you should wait to begin using the Magic Sleepsuit until your baby is transitioning from the swaddle and fits properly into the Magic Sleepsuit. Proper fit of the Magic Sleepsuit is critical for its safety and effectiveness. When the Magic Sleepsuit fits properly, the scooped neck will lay flat on the baby's chest, away from the face and baby should not have the ability to pull their arms and/or legs inside the Sleepsuit. . If the Sleepsuit is too big it will not provide the cozy, secure feeling necessary for sucess.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2016Seriously this was so worth the money! I read a lot of the positive reviews and hoped I would have a similar experience. My 4 month old hasn't been napping well because I no longer swaddle him in the day. He named 30 minutes almost to the minute and would startle and wake. He would wake tired and grumpy and it was horrible as he wouldn't want to be left in the crib to re-fall asleep. My friend told me about this suit as a transition from swaddling. I was so willing to try even though the price didn't make my husband happy. I told him $40 for my sanity was a small price to pay. The package arrived after my sons morning nap (of 30 minutes). I put him in the suit for his next nap. Of course he was adorable in this big suit, like man other reviews said. I couldn't help but smile. He napped for 3 hours!!!!! 3 hours!! Right there is was worth the money. his 3rd nap of the day he slept for 60 minutes! That night was the first night we ever let him sleep unsaddled. The night was horrible. My son could still reach his hands well to try and comfort himself. It was a disaster. I'm blaming a good part of that to his pacifier issues as well - although with a swaddle they weren't as bad. The second night was a complete turn around!! He slept the night waking once to nurse and then waking at his normal time in the morning!!! It was the second night he was out of our room. I'm sold and so happy for this suit. It's not a complete fix all, but I'd say 90% of a fixer!
My son is 4 months old and 1 week. He is less than 2% in height and 25% in weight. So small. The suit fits him sell. The collar goes down nice and low as to not disturb the neck from moving and getting into the babies mouth. the arms and legs are open. I was thinking I would put socks on my son, but his feet actually don't even stick out! The arms are perfect going down to his wrists, but shortening when he brings his hands to his mouth. The fleece is very soft and great quality. I haven't washed it yet so not sure if that will change?
Already after 2 days my son seems to realize as I put him in this suit he's getting ready to sleep. Kind of like starting to swaddle a baby, they know and start to calm down and relax a bit.
The suit is not ridged. I worried the suit would be stiff, but it's not. It might be the warmth and weigh on the child that helps? Whatever it is it works. Not restrictive if you're worried about that. I'm able to put my son in this and nurse him and stick him in bed.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2015This is by far the most important purchase that I made for my baby, my husband, and myself. I recommend it to every new parent I meet who has a baby with sleep issues and even experienced parents (my sister-in-law is going to try it with her second baby). Some of the mothers I recommended this sleepsuit to tried it with their own babies, and they found that their babies were sleeping for about eight-hour stretches at night shortly after they started using the suit.
Before I started putting my daughter in the suit to sleep, I was recovering from severe postpartum depression and in major need of consistent sleep so that I could be the best version of myself for my baby. My two-month-old daughter was sleeping okay, with her longest stretch probably about five or six hours. She hated being swaddled and could break out of the tightest swaddle from when she was a couple of weeks old. The instructor in my mothers' group offhandedly recommended this sleepsuit, but I wrote the name down since I was willing to try out anything to help my daughter sleep. She was below the recommended age for the suit, and it was way too big for her, but I made some adjustments (like rolling up the sleeves) so that she was secure inside.
The first night she slept okay, maybe six hours. She did cry at first when I put her in, and it took a couple of nights for her to get used to the sleepsuit. By the end of the first week using the sleepsuit, she was sleeping eight hours per night on average. Now, at five months, she is sleeping 12-13 hours at night (with no late night feedings) with two 2-4 hour naps in the suit. This is great for both of us, since she gets the sleep she needs to develop, and I have time to recharge and even time to work from home during the day.
I can tell that a lot of the credit for her sleeping so well goes to the sleepsuit. Whenever I put her down for a nap without the suit, she sleeps much less. I suppose that is my only concern regarding the suit--transitioning her out of it. I already ordered the 6-9 month version, but I will probably start trying to transition her out of it fairly soon so that the transition goes more smoothly.
I would almost say that the suit works too well. My five-month-old baby sleeps about 18 hours per day, so it can be hard to get out of the house and do things with her. The other thing that could be considered an issue but that hasn't really been a problem for me is that the suit really restricts what the baby can wear to bed. I usually put my daughter in just a diaper and a onesie before putting her in the suit. One night I tried putting her in just a diaper, but she managed to wriggle out of the suit, so I definitely would recommend against doing that, especially for babies on the smaller side. One final weird issue that I have had with the suit is that my mother-in-law, who babysits my daughter about twice a week, is afraid to put my daughter in the suit, because you do have to use a little bit of force to get the baby's arms through the sleeves.
I could probably say more about how much I love this sleepsuit, but I think that's enough for now!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2024Great size, great color, functions as expected. Very soft. A little hard to dry. My son gets very hot naturally, so he can’t wear it all night but it’s great for naps.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magico

5.0 out of 5 stars Complete Game Changer
We were recommended this sleep suit by a friend. Our son never liked being swaddled but would continually wake himself up throughout the night. Before we got maybe 2-3 hours out of him at a time. The first night he wore it, he slept 5 hours!! It’s been about 2 weeks with this sleep suit and last night he slept his first 8 hour stretch! It’s truly magic.

Our baby has been sleeping THROUGH THE NIGHT since he was 3 months old. He absolutely haaated being swaddled, he wanted his arms free. He seems to tolerate this suit much better and does it ever work!

5.0 out of 5 stars Magic!
It’s hard to actually believe how well this works! It is magic! My 4 month old son, a twin, was waking up every 3-4 hours at night, he was sleeping a little more when swaddled but he would break out of the swaddle and it made me nervous. He also needed to be rocked to sleep. I only purchased one suit as his sister had already transitioned nicely to a regular sleep sack.
The first night he slept in the merlin suit he slept from 8-5 ! The best part was I literally dressed him in the suit and he smiled, and then I walked away and he fell asleep on his own. Friends had insisted this would happen but I couldn’t believe it. Believe the hype, it works! Also, I accidentally purchased the micro fleece version and I was nervous that it would be too hot, however as we live in Canada and it was winter, my room temperature is around 70 and I never find him too warm. I leave his feet uncovered and keep him in just a short sleeve onesie underneath the suit. Don’t hesitate with the purchase, sleep is worth the 70$.

5.0 out of 5 stars Magic by name, magic by nature!
Last night I had the best night's sleep I've had in a long time thanks to this product. Since a few weeks old my baby has only slept soundly in someone's arms. The only time she would sleep in her cot was in a sleeping bag and it would only last 30 minutes before she'd wake herself up fidgeting. She has eczema so she would wake up and furiously scratch at herself but after one night in this sleepsuit she slept in her cot for 11 hours, only waking up once to feed. It's a miracle! I've already ordered a second one and I can't rave about this product enough.
Pros:
Everyone gets some sleep
No more fidgeting and fussing
Keeps baby at a good temperature
She looks like a super cute marshmallow
Cons:
Takes a long time to dry
Have to completely take baby out to change
The cons are very minor in comparison to a good night's sleep and I would recommend to any parent struggling to get their little one to sleep.
