I'm an photographer who purchased these for an exhibition, as they are the right size. I've had consistent quality control issues with the recent products I have tried by this maker.  I paid less than half price for them, and still consider that a stretch, as all but 2 of the 12 I ordered are so messed up that they need to be completely re-sanded and repainted by me to make them even usable. The wood underneath the paint isn't smooth on several of them, is oddly rough, gouged, or has debris under the finish.  On some, the finish is worn away or chipped off.  This manufacturer needs to do a whole lot better, and Michaels needs to be better on their quality control they ship out, shop for customers, or put on the shelves.  Many of the items on shelves are damaged an unusable as well, and in-store purchase items have also been treated so roughly by cashier staff that I have to go back an get another because they scratched it.  I can't use it in a gallery if it's damaged/scratched. The only thing going for these is the size and matting (which is also sometimes messed up).

If you happen to get a good one, it's great.  But obviously, that's about a 16% chance and the odds are not in your favor.

The frame itself was perfect for the project I was working on. But the double mat inside was cut crooked, so I had to recut one.

Great frame for the price.  Make sure to clean the matte and the glass thoroughly before use - I’ve found black specks and dust on the matte and in between the frame, but this is expected for a fairly inexpensive product. The glass is crystal clear and much better than the plexiglass found in most inexpensive frames
