A Budget Phone With Few Compromises & Great Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Design: This phone despite being a phone with a removable back has managed to pull a modern smartphone look. The black has a great soft feeling plastic which feels great in the hand. The front facing fingerprint reader is also a wonderful touch for a phone that is barely over $100. The water-resistant design is a nice touch, but don't go dunking it into water anytime soon. Display/Audio: Overall, the display is excellent. The screen is very colorful and bright. The screen can also get decently dark as well. The screen is only 1280 x 720, but it is hardly noticeable when watching videos. Speakers are decent. Sound is faithful except for the highest volume settings where the audio can become slightly distorted. They sound pretty good for a phone in this price range. OS/UI: It is great to have a phone out of the box with Nougat (Android version 7). Moto's phones have always had a great OS because they are near stock android. The near vanilla android experience in itself worth it. Camera: The camera is possibly one of the greater aspects of the phone. The phone in general gets the proper exposure in light situations. The phones are rarely grainy and focuses on objects quickly. As with every camera, the camera weakens slightly in the low light department. HOWEVER, the camera does outperform many smartphones even some mid ranges in this department. The phone also has great controls for manual mode if you want to get the best picture. The front facing camera is also great and performs as expected. Battery/Charging: For the most part, the battery life of the Moto E4 is just average but solid. In the age of larger battery capacities and quick-charge/fast charging, the Moto E4 is basically adequate. The phone can easily get you through a full day, most likely due to the fact due to good battery management, lower screen resolution, brightness controls, etc. The batteries are also swappable, so that might be a bonus for some. Storage/Memory: The base storage is a bit lacking at 16GB. However, it is really good to know that the storage is expandable up to 128GB which is more than enough. The nice thing about expansion is that you can use the external storage as internal memory. I think the ram is decent enough considering the price of the product. Processor/Performance: Perhaps the biggest weakness of the Moto E4 is the processor. However, I have seen worse processors being used around this price-point so that is something to consider as well. Now if you do light gaming, emails, basic web browsing searches, this phone performs excellently. Things like basic streaming such as videos and Netflix performed well. However, with heavier duty games, the games will show noticeable signs of stuttering and/or frame-rate issues. Other (Calls, Compatibility, Accessories, Firmware/Updates): Call quality was great. No issues or distortions. The wonderful thing about this phone is that it is UNLOCKED and works with GSM and CDMA so basically all the carriers. At the time of this review, there is only a decent amount of support for accessories. BE CAREFUL, the international version of this phone is different from the US version. Please lookout for this when choosing which accessories to buy. If you need some suggestions: I recommend for cases: Dretal or Otterbox and for screen protector: amFilm, Mr.Shield, or Supershield. The phone uses a standard micro-USB, so replacements are easy to find. Moto has been generally fast and reliable about updating their phones. The phone should get at least 2 years of android updates. Conclusion: This phone is not the greatest in the world. HOWEVER, it may be the greatest phone for what it does at this price-point. The phone is cheap without being cheap. In a way, this phone is truly king in the under $150 category. My suggestion is to choose based on your needs and willingness to pay. It is great to see a phone with great value at this price-point. And hey, at least it has a headphone jack.

UNLOCKED and AFFORDABLE!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is amazing. Not only is the build quality very good, but the phone is very fast! The quad-core processor zips through menus and screens very quickly and without any noticeable lag. It is very responsive, turning on the screen as you pick it up to make sure it is ready to go before you even get your thumb in swiping position. Speaking of unlocking, the fingerprint sensor is lightning fast, and unlocks without error 100% of the time. Camera is decent, and screen is very nice and bright. Add all of that together with an unlocked device that can be used on any GSM carrier, and a sub $150 price tag? I'd like to see someone beat that combo. Definitely a recommended purchase. Also, the fine gold color looks much better in person than on the screen/website.

More than I expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been eyeing this phone for a while now. I’ve done my research and learned a lot about it. At the end I’ve decided to go buy this phone and to tell you the truth I regret nothing. It’s exactly what I expected and more. It has so many features for just a phone that’s $130. I really enjoy my new phone and I really recommend this phone to anyone looking for a really good smartphone on a budget. By the way I’m using it on T-Mobile.

Best Inexpensive Phone for Sprint Promotion
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For anyone who had the Moto G4 Play, this is slight upgrade. It has a slightly faster processor and fingerprint reader. This comes with Nougat from factory. This phone was a breeze to bring over to Sprint. I was on Net10 and was able to port into Sprint within a few minutes. I like how the speaker is on the front of the phone. Seems like the phone will have decent battery life. If you can get the unlocked version of this phone for under $100, it is well worth it.

Great cell phone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone has all the basics, plus cool extras, like a fingerprint sensor, reasonable amount of memory, and 2 cameras. Its also easy to use. The call quality, wifi, and audio volume are super loud and clear! Gone are the days when I used to struggle with poor call quality or low volume. This is an excellent buy, even if it's not on sale! Motorola is awesome!

Q: QuestionWill this phone work with at&t pre_paid plan?
Asked by Lmc.
- A:Answer From what I understand, yes. Apparently, it does not work best with T-Mobile, so I tried to return to Best Buy but they just convinced me to buy AT&T's prepaid sim card. I haven't used it yet because I got 3 months through Mint Sim for free. But I guess if Best Buy sold me the AT&T prepaid plan to use with this phone that means it should work. Besides not getting the best service with the provider I have, it seems like a good phone for the money.
