Organic Natural Sesame Seeds contain the outer hull so appear light brown in colour compared to the more common organic hulled sesame seeds.

Benefits of natural sesame seeds

  • High in fibre
  • Plant protein (5g of protein per 3 tbsp)
  • Good source of B vitamins including Thiamine (great for vegans)

Ways to enjoy organic natural sesame seeds

  • Sprinkle on a bowl of miso tofu and sticky rice
  • Add to salads and stir fries for extra nutrition
  • Use in bread making for flatbreads, naans and tortilla wraps
  • Try adding to the blender for your morning smoothie

These are 'natural' and organic so do not have the pristine look of the supermarket style well graded sesame seeds but nevertheless they do exactly the same job and as mostly they are cooked you don't notice the difference then.

They do seem to have a deeper flavour than others I have used and they come at a very good price. Mostly I use these in bread and to coat rolls and loaves - a job they do very well. Will certainly buy more when I need them.

In the bread I use them in conjunction with Poppy Seeds and Kalonji seeds for colour and taste, Sunflower hearts for a bit of crunch and then coat the loaves with pumpkin seeds and sesame seeds. Pumpkin seeds do well on the outside - looking good and more importantly some of them drop off when I take them out of the tins. That's my bonus cos they taste delicious. If you make the loaf with dried milk powder and using apple juice instead of water you get a truly remarkable loaf.

    Highly recommended product

I make my own bread most days These seeds were used on top of bread rolls for husband's work Lunch.
They arrived promptly and well packaged. They taste very good. Nutty and of good strength. I shall certainly buy these again as they are good value and work out at a fraction of the cost ( per Kilo) of the small jars usually found in supermarkets
I do decant herbs and spices bought in larger quantities into airtight containers for storage to keep the flavours as fresh as possible.

Delicious. Love the colours and flavour good too. I have enjoyed these so far in egg fried rice, wtrifries, homemade bread and flat breads - we do love sesame seeds. Mix them up with flax and chia... But sesame has the best flavour for me.

Arrived fast and not over packaged.

The shut down was imminent, I didn't rush for the loo roll; not I. I thought, what is it that I cant' live without?
3 kilos of sesame seeds whispered a friendly voice. "Hello?"; I thought; I know that voice, but damn me I couldn't remember who it belonged to. When the seeds arrived I toasted some and threw them on a salad and tasted them. "Wonderful" I thought and in that moment, my brain cells had tripled, just by eating a few grams of my many kilos of sesame. The voice that had eluded me, all that time, i suddenly recognsied. It was me and I was talking to myself. Realising what folly this was, I told myself to f off. Then I did F Off and took half the buisiness with me. xxxx

I use this to make my own tahini mainly for homemade hummus instead of the bland stuff you buy in the shops with the advantage of leaving out the salt, sugar, and potassium sorbate! If I want salt I use high potassium variety. First I gently roast the seeds for a few minutes on high heat as they are easily burned, then add olive oil according to your recipe. The finished hummus is put into small plastic containers and frozen. It is also good on its own for dips, as a salad dressing, and as a spread.
