    Following the advice of Dr. Weil, I am trying to cut sucrose from my diet. I discovered a recipe for peanut butter cookies online that uses dextrose powder and this rice malt syrup. The cookies were pretty easy to make. My husband likes them. I didn't like them much at first, but they're growing on me. (I wouldn't give away a box as a Christmas present, but they can satisfy a craving for something sweet.) They definitely aren't as sweet as usual. I also tasted the malt syrup and it's pretty icky tasting by itself. But, I put it on my fruit, and it was ok. I am going to experiment more with this product and will add a note later based on more experience. It is a fairly small jar, so I don't think it will last long. (The recipe I tried called for 1/2 cup.) That's a downside, because it means I would have to order it frequently if I decided I liked it. On the positive side, the product arrived quickly and well packaged.
