"People can get scared of [blue lipstick] because it can easily look cheap and garish," makeup artist Nick Barose, who works with Lupita Nyong'o, told Allure last summer. "So it's all about layering different pigments on top of your lipstick to give the final color some depth and richness." Adding gloss over your lipstick will keep it from looking too flat, he explains.

While tinted moisturizer isn't exactly new, it is up 50 percent in search. And while you might associate spring with bright neon or pastel colors, this season's hue of choice is more muted, making it the perfect transitional trend to try before it actually feels hot outside.
