The hotel is located overlooking the Accademia Bridge (Ponte dell'Accademia) in the Dorsoduro district. It is the ideal location for exploring the city on foot or by boat, especially the art galleries. The hotel doesn't offer food, but they do recommend the Bar Da Gino round the corner which is excellent. There are a couple of small restaurants close by which (in March) weren't overrun with tourists too. Rooms aren't massive but they're clean, cosy and suited our purpose perfectly. The hotel was also excellent value for money, given the location. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Just around the corner from the Accademia gallery, Hotel Galleria offers a convenient location in Venice, a 10-minute walk from St Mark’s Square. Wi-Fi is free in public areas. This hotel is set in a 16th-century building and has antique-style rooms with wooden furniture and classic décor. Rooms come with a fan and either a private or shared bathroom. The Accademia water bus stop is located only 15 metres from the Galleria Hotel. Venice Train Station is a 20-minute walk away.
