About

Cage the Elephant is a powerhouse rock and roll band from Bowling Green, Kentucky, that combines blues, classic rock, and funk into an eclectic and raucously fun sound. They formed in 2006 and signed to Relentless Records after playing the 2007 South by Southwest music festival. The band’s self-titled debut studio album was released in 2008 to commercial and critical success, spawning singles “Free Love,” “In One Ear,” and the hit “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked,” catapulting the band into the UK and US mainstream. Their sophomore album Thank You, Happy Birthday reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with singles “Shake Me Down” and “Around My Head.” Cage the Elephant toured relentlessly for ticket holders in 2009 and 2010, opening for Foo Fighters, Manchester Orchestra, Silversun Pickups and Stone Temple Pilots. Their third studio album Melophobia came out in October 2013 on RCA Records with the single “Come a Little Closer,” opening up their sound with alt-rock and punk textures. They will finish out the year in concert with their high-octane and kinetic live show in support of Muse.

    Incredible live band

    by Hols on 3/4/24

I didn't know much about them when I first saw them open for Muse on their The Second Law tour and I was blown away. I've seen them multiple times since including the recording of one of their live albums and they deliver every time. They are my absolute favorite band to see live and I try not to miss them.

    No opening act, strung out

by Moses on 8/5/22History - Toronto

Concert venue was great. Sound was good. No opening and a late start with no heads up? Seemed like one musician forgot how to play at one point too.

Venue was Great, band was absent

by JC on 8/5/22History - Toronto

Band came on nearly 2 hours late on a weeknight. Sound quality and engineering was brutal, way too much feedback coming through the speakers. The venue was beautiful and new, but that doesn’t make up for the performance and lack of empathy from the band to its fans

    Over all an amazing show

by Jess on 8/5/22History - Toronto

Cage the Elephant put on an amazing show, I’ve been listening to them for years and to finally see them perform live was awesome! I only removed a star because they went on incredibly late and didn’t have an opening act which left the crown standing waiting around for hours, not knowing when they were actually going to go on stage. Proper communication could have avoided this
