I used this for a mount in my Toyota FJ Cruiser. I mounted it on the driver's side handle. Holds well, perfect place to put the phone, doesn't bounce around. Good product.

    I mounted this on my bicycle and it works great. It holds my iPhone 5 with its case perfect. I'm sure it will hold any cell phone made with a case on without any problem. Easy to install and easy to put the phone in and easy to remove it. It has an elastic band as an added security device to hold the phone. I don't think you could buy a better mount for a bike of any kind. It's built solid and doesn't move an inch even when going over bumps. Works great to listen to music, too. All buttons and speakers on the phone are accessible. Works good if you are using a bicycle phone app to monitor your rides. Just a plain good product and you won't have to worry about your phone or iPod falling out of this tough bad boy. Recommend it with 10 stars if possible.

    I recently received this unit and attached it the same day. Attaching it to the handlebar was a straight forward affair. Make sure you use the O-clamp inserts, you cannot get a tight fit without them. The instructions are missing an important part of the assembly, there is a holding/locking plate screw that only goes on in a certain order that is not described. I figured it out, but it is not intuitive. If you assemble the unit without this locking screw, it is possible that the phone clamp plate could detach.

    After taking the bike out for a test ride, the phone holder was as solid as a rock. With the built in safety bungie in place, my iPhone didn't so much as jiggle from it's cradle. Bonus points awarded to the fact that there is space at the bottom of the cradle to plug the charger into the phone.

    Overall, I am really impressed with this unit and for the price, I don't think you can go wrong. I highly recommend this product.

    I've used this mount for two phones, Motorola Bionic and Samsung Galaxy S3, both fit fine. If memory serves the charge port might have been blocked on the Bionic but I was able to deal with it by turning the unit upside-down for GPS use and the screen flipped automatically so all was good.

    It holds the phone solidly despite being made of plastic. I don't know how long it will last but it was very inexpensive and served me well on my week long trip. I'm guessing the elastic band that secures it could go first but it's the same as those rubber-bands for hair if you needed to replace it. In case you're wondering, the button on the bottom left triggers the side grips to open all the way allowing a width that should accept any phone out there, maybe even a Galaxy Note II. The side grips are lined with foam and you squeeze them together in a series of ratcheting clicks until you cannot squeeze any further. The built in coated rubber band is then pulled across and latched behind so you've got a pretty good hold on your device.

    You twist a threaded collar to lock the ball-pivot in place to adjust the face of the unit. The collar and threads are all plastic on plastic so it's not ideal but for the money this thing does a good job. Same with the handlebar mount, metal screws into plastic threads with a rubber strap for better grip, just don't over-tighten and you'll be fine.

    It might be useful to know that I'm using this on an Electra Glide which is a smooth riding touring motorcycle; its entirely possible a more rigid suspension would shake this thing apart.

    I love this iPhone motorcycle mount. It is high quality and functions so well as a secure place to put that precious and expensive iPhone when riding your bike! I was worried that the vibration of the road would cause it to easily come loose and jeaphardize the safety of my iPhone. It has never budged since I installed it. It works great every time and I especially like the elastic band that is an additional way of making sure the iPhone is secure while I ride. If you squeeze the clamps on each side, they would normally hold the phone in place with sufficient strength... however, you never know what a bump in the road would do... and the elastic band makes certain the phone isn't going to pop out suddenly. The versatility of how this holder is designed makes placement of it on the handlebars possible virtually anywhere you want to place it. I had to place mine in the lower, more centered area because I have Audio Speakers up high on each side of my handlebars. I couldn't be more satisfied with this product!

    I bought two of these a year ago. I put 7,500mi on my bicycle (road and some trail) since then and they lasted that long, which is pretty cool.

    The problem is that it's a plastic mount. The holder for the phone will force-clip onto the part mounted onto the bicycle. Eventually, this will wear and loosen, especially if you keep taking it off. It held up for many miles so I can't complain too much, but the plastic design is the ultimate downfall. Otherwise, it was very convenient.

    **UPDATE** 10/5/2018: I am pleased to announce that this is still on my motorcycle and in use, with zero issues. I've gone through 5 different smart phones since I wrote the original review below in 2014, and none of them have ever slipped out or "didn't fit". The larger the phone the more it sticks out at the top, but that's not really an issue for me. I even moved this mount to my larger bike. I still recommend this.

    I had low expectations for this item on a motorcycle. I have one like this in my car, so I decided to buck up and get it for GPS and Music on my bike, and was very surprised and pleased. It installed extremely fast and simple, and never has come loose, even now. I bought this and have had this on my bike since around June 11th, 2013, and it's still there and holding tight. You can quickly remove it and put it in a saddle bag if you need to, which is nice. I would recommend this!
