About

Chris Young in Concert

By his 33rd birthday, RCA Records Nashville artist Chris Young has accumulated an impressive list of accomplishments, including membership in the iconic Grand Ole Opry, eleven career No. 1 singles, seventeen R.I.A.A. Gold/Platinum/Multi-Platinum certified projects, 2 Grammy nominations, 3 Country Music Association nominations and 4 Academy of Country Music nominations. As a prolific creator, Chris has given fans 7 studio albums in 12 years including Losing Sleep, his third project in less than two years. The title track is certified Platinum while "Hangin' On" is his ninth No. 1 as a songwriter. Losing Sleep (2017) and I'm Comin' Over (2015) debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart with "I'm Comin' Over" becoming Young's first 2x Platinum single.

Named "one of his era's finest traditionalists" by the Associated Press, Chris has quickly become an international ambassador for country music, performing to capacity crowds around the world including the sold-out C2C Festival in the UK. With a hit-packed set that highlights his eleven chart-toppers — including back-to-back No. 1s "Losing Sleep," "Sober Saturday Night," "Think Of You," and "I'm Comin' Over" — the Grammy and ACM nominated vocalist headlined the Chris Young Losing Sleep 2018 World Tour, with more than 55 arena and amphitheater shows including his first hometown headlining stop at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena playing to a capacity crowd of nearly 14,000 fans, friends and family.

2019 brings new music - the just-released anthem, "Raised On Country," and a new arena headlining tour.

    Disappointed

by Frank from Hollywood on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

It was obvious from when CY came out on stage the glassy eyes. CY had to much to drink before coming on stage but through the show on several occasions he stopped during a song because he forgot the words even going back to the keyboard player to provide the words. Many goods songs but were performed poorly. Many people noted the same . Disappointed !

He was too stoned to be on stage

by Michael on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

Went to the concert. Chris Young was on something. Most likely drunk. He could not remember the words to his own songs and kept stopping his songs to laugh about how he cannot remember the words. Not funny when his fans pay good money to see him. I really like him but will not waste my money again.

    Drunk artist

by Richard on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

Pretty sad that you know you have to go on stage and perform and you show up drunk! Stopped in the middle of songs a few times because he forgot the words to his own songs. At one point he went back to some in the band and had to have him tell him the words. It was so bad he even tried to explain the issue. If I had gone to work like that I would have been fired. Everyone paid good money to see him and we got a piss poor performance. On top of that you couldn’t even understand what he could remember because the instruments drowned out the voice. Pathetic and unprofessional!! I’ll never pay to see him again and I hope no one else does either

    Fan Disapointment

by LongTimeFan on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

This was my fourth Chris Young Concert in the last year and a half and was by far the worst experience. Partly my fault as i drove down to south Florida from Orlando and had trouble locating the venue. So, when I found it, the concert had started. I was fine with that but it only lasted 90 minutes and he was done. Also, he forgot the words to several of his songs. I spent a lot of money and had a second-row seat only for it to be over in the blink of an eye. I hope whatever had him distracted turned out OK but i wish if he was not going to give 100% for the concert that he would have just cancelled and rescheduled so i could have gotten my money's worth.

    Disappointed

by A Chris Young Fan on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

To clarify, my wife and I are fans of Chris Young. We arrived early settled in for the show and were looking for a good time. From our perspective Chris was not in ideal condition from the start and was not sharp. We were hoping he would get it together. After a few songs, including his #1 hit we decided it was best for us to have an early departure. We listened to Chris Young shuffle on drive to “getting her home.”

It was not worth the money this time.

by Danielle on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

I have seen Chris Young perform and he has been excellent so I bought the tickets without hesitation. When the concert started, the music and singing seemed out of sync and then he kept “forgetting” the words. He did more talking (repeated himself several times) than singing on some songs. It was a complete disappointment and absolutely not worth the ticket price this time. So sad because he has been amazing at other shows. People were leaving 4-5 songs in.

Nice venue not so great performance

by Bianca on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

The venue was very nice and I am a huge Chris young fan and had seen him live previously, however on this occasion he forgot the words to almost all of his songs which lead to many breaks for story interjections. I really love recorded Chris young songs and I know he can sing but this performance was not worth the long drive or money.

    Horrible performance

by Kenzie on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

Chris Young’s performance at Coconut Creek, Florida was extremely disappointing. Chris appeared extremely intoxicated and forgot the words to several of his own songs, 4 or more. His performance lasted less than 1 hour. The venue was great and is the only reason this review is receiving any more than one star.

    Very sad performance!

by Shannys7674 on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

Well I was super excited to see Chris Young again (I've seen him twice before). As I remembered he put on a great show the other two times. I wanted to bring my boyfriend and enjoy our night listening to good music. But, I guess Chris had other ideas. He came out on stage 30 minutes late. He started the first song and mid way through seem to have gotten lost. As the night (only an hour show) went on Chris had a lot of trouble remembering the words to his own songs, which he admitted to twice. I understand that some artists get pitchy and put in different words for different venues, but he FORGOT the words! He seemed drunk or very stoned. This is not the man I've seen before and love his music and voice! That I'm afraid is a career ending performance! I really hope he gets back to the Chris Young everyone enjoys and loves!
