Excellent product, but there is a learning curve!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These drones are fantastic, as long as you treat them with care and ease into flying. First of all, the packaging is phenomenal with a display box that lights up and plays music. The drones themselves are detailed, but are really just painted plastic so don't get too excited. The controller is made very well with a great speaker for sound effects and music, and very good stick quality. There is a lot of functionality with these drones, including a training mode, auto takeoff and landing, and battling with other drones via infrared beams (laser upgrades later). Please read the manual and learn how to fly before letting loose and ruining your drone. Even though they can take some crashing, if you just take off and expect to be able to fly easily (without prior drone experience), you will probably ruin it. Use the training cage and training mode for a day or two first. Also, make sure you calibrate each time before flying (top right button on the controller). All in all, these are excellent drones but you are paying a premium for the excellent packaging and Star Wars brand.

Fun drone but sadly in short bursts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a Star Wars fan like myself, purchasing this drone was practically a no-brainer, especially when it was on sale. The packaging is simply ingenious, I don't want to spoil the surprise but do expect some bells and whistles upon opening the box. It'll bring a smile to your face. The drone itself is pretty sturdy, mine having survived a number of crashes without losing a blade or suffering any damage. The protective cage did have one of the struts snap after a particularly hard hit into a wall, but I figure that's what it was there for. The X-Wing is pretty easy to handle at the lowest speed, responding to the controller quickly. As you up the speed, however, it can be a little unpredictable as a sudden change in direction can cause it to gain or lose altitude, meaning if it's low to the ground, it can crash. Takes some time to adjust to that. The engines light up just like in the movies and there are white LED's to identify the front of the drone for when it is far away from you. The controller plays music from the movies and has authentic sounds when you operate the weapons, but I was a bit disappointed that they used random people to voice lines from the movies instead of taking the dialogue from the movies themselves. The main reason I can only give this 4 stars is the battery life. While the drone does come with two batteries, even fully charged they each last 10 minutes at best, usually a little less, depending on what speed mode you use. Still, it packs a lot of fun into those almost 20 minutes. The other issue is even when calibrated, the drone tends to drift a little when not operating the controls, and it seems to vary on the direction it's going to drift in. Still, great fun and I am tempted to pick up a TIE Advanced drone so that I can have a dogfight with a friend using the IR sensors on the drones.

A must have for any Star Wars fan!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a both a great toy and a must-have collectible. People struck the perfect balance between making a fun to play with toy, and a terrific collectors item. The case is a beautiful display for the x-wing when not being played, that lights up and plays audio from the Star Wars movies when activated. The toy itself comes complete with the tools and spare parts you’ll need (including an extra battery) to enjoy playing with it for many years. The attention to detail is terrific, all the way down to the controller which has batteries to produce fun audio when you open the back of the controller to install the batteries.

WAY COOL
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Propel drone was so very cool from opening to play. The only issues we've had are recovering propellers from one post that seems to lose them more easily. Fortunately you can get replacements from the manufacturer. This drone is for the moderate user, and takes a little flying practice, but flies well, and have engaged in a couple drone battles. Much fun!

Very nice product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The propel starfighter it’s a awesome product, my son love it, he is very happy with his Christmas gift, the only thing I am not happy about it I got an open box product, I bought it online and pick it up in the store and I pay for a new one but when my son opened the box the seals was broken it’s look like somebody else opened before, I realized that because I bought two propel ships and the second one the box and everything was intact no broken seals and no missing parts like the other one

It's a 3 in one
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't expect some of its capabilities. When you open the main box you get entertained but StarWars music and it lights up. You can pair to your smartphone and use the controller to learn/practic. The drone flys OK. I found that they drift slightly and it takes some research to find out how to correct. The one problem is where to fly.

Cool drone!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Remote controlled, Star Wars drone. How do you not give it five stars. It is a blast to fly, it has fun sound effects and has great modes to fly in...from just flying on your own to having actual dogfights against other drones. Right from the opening of the the packaging, it is amazing!

Tiny yet satisfying. Needs camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tiny but full of awesomeness. Controller, app to train before flying the drone itself, automatic flips, training mode itself, goes faster than most drones, ability to combat other drones of its kind, and so much more. My kid has never owned a drone before so this small one is perfect. Picked this one solely because of the display with movie excepts and lighting. Disappointed that it doesn't have a camera. I'll probably get another regardless for the dogfighting.
