Amazing tool for cutting the cord
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was on the fence about picking these up. With the available choices, this is one of the most feature packed AND economical items in it’s class. My kids love the voice controlled remote and ability to watch movies and shows on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and others. These are great in the bedroom! We opted for the 4K FireTv for the big screen but on the bedroom TVs, these are great.

I've become a "cord-cutter" with the Fire Stick
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got so tired of paying high prices for substandard service for Cable TV. My bills were ridiculously high, and when I had a problem, I reached offshore agents who read scripts and were powerless to fix problems. I explored numerous options and ended up choosing the Fire Stick. I cancelled my cable service and purchased a Fire Stick for each of the 3 TVs in my home. That was a one-time fee that totaled less than a month of cable service. Then I subscribed to Hulu Live, which gives me live TV broadcasts, allows up to 50 hours of DVD recordings, and has literally thousands of hours of On Demand that puts the cable companies to shame. The Fire Sticks install literally in minutes, they provide better TV reception on my older 1080p TVs, as well as my 4K UHD Samsung Smart TV. I would have given it 5-stars, except for one thing - my partner is blind, and cannot use on-screen prompts. Part of why I purchased the Fire Stick was because it has Alexa voice commands, and I thought he could press the microphone and say, "Tune to CBS", or "Start Hulu". Unfortunately, Alexa is about as useful as Siri - most of the time, she responds, "I am unable to do that for you." If you have a vision impaired family member, keep this in mind when making the decision to purchase one. Other than that, this was the best decision I have made in a long time, and I could not be happier with the Amazon Fire Stick!

Great for all your Entertainment needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product is amazing and was worth every bit of the price. You can watch your favorite movies and tv series all in one location. It also allows you to play games and listen to your favorite music. It’s also a great traveling on the go device. You can easily unplug it from your television and plug it to another television anywhere with WiFi. Get the echo dot to go along with it and you’re able to control it with your voice hands free. Just ask Alexa to pull up Netflix, play a movie or even play music. I Highly recommended..This product is so amazing I went and brought the firestick and firetv and have them plugged up to all my televisions. For the low price this is the best product for hours of fun and entertainment.

User-Friendly and Well Worth the Cost
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Fire Stick with Alexa Remote is a great device: it's unobtrusive, takes mere minutes to set up, and crisply delivers streamed Prime music and video content via an attractive, user-friendly interface. The voice search function allows you to say things like, "Find all Indiana Jones movies," and view results not only from Prime Video, but also through paid services such as Netflix and Hulu. You get full Alexa functionality too, so you can say "Show today's weather," and Alexa will not only display the forecast onscreen, but also speak it aloud. Set up requires no technical skill, and the instructions are written plainly and with easy-to-follow diagrams. Just find an HDMI port on the back of your TV (FYI-the ports are helpfully labeled "HDMI",) plug in the Fire Stick, turn on the TV, switch Source to HDMI using your TV remote, then follow onscreen prompts, navigating with the Alexa remote. It's fast---you can be up and running in 5 minutes or less. This device definitely deserves all the rave reviews it's getting---it's a 5-star product for sure.

Q: QuestionI have the fire stick but l am getting no sound on my tv. I have the fire stick set up and there is no sound on my tv. How do l get sound on my tv to hear the movies? Do l need to update my tv?
Asked by annette20us.
- A:Answer I just hook up my fire stick and it has no sound

Q: QuestionI only have internet service.....can I just buy this stick and be able to hook it up without cable
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You don't need cable to use this stick. All you need is Internet. My house doesn't have cable, satellite, or other wired source of video. We have a TV antenna that gets us local channels. You can get content using Amazon Prime - some of which is available at no charge. You can use Pluto (ask Alexa to find Pluto, and then install it) for a variety of content. You can subscribe to Sling and get many of the channels that are offered by cable providers - all over the Internet. (Sling allows you to view on three devices at once - your TV, your phone, your computer(?)). You can also add Mobdro and Kodi. Most Amazon (.APK) programs will work with this Fire TV Stick -- just don't overload it with stuff you don't need or won't use. Again - no need for cable - it can all be done over the Internet (as long as you have WiFi)

Q: QuestionHow does it work? What's the cost? How many channels do you get? Do you need a amazon access to access?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It works with your internet connection and pulls content from streaming services for you to watch that can be free or paid for. The cost depends on the types of content you want to access. Amazon Prime is not required to use this device. There are plenty of apps/services available that can give you content for free.

Q: QuestionWhat's the difference between Amozon Fire Stick and Roku?
Asked by Maneater.
- A:Answer There is little practical difference between the Roku and Amazon Fire TV stick, as they ultimately do the same thing - which is to organize and utilize thousands of apps and programs to view TV shows, thousands of movies and documentaries. It's like the Macbook and PC computers - slightly different command controls but they all do the same thing - productivity tools, internet surfing, TV viewing etc.,

Q: QuestionWhat is the monthly fee for the fire stick?
Asked by Joseph.
- A:Answer There is actually no monthly fee for the device itself (like a ROKU). If you have amazon prime membership, you get access to their video library for free. Different Apps like Netflix, etc all have their own monthy fees if you want them.

Q: QuestionCan you use the firestick on more than one TV?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You can easily move this firestick between TV's without issue. There is nothing that ties it to a particular TV and since it connects to an HDMI port, it's a breeze to disconnect it and take it where you want. We have one in our household who's sole purpose is to be the portable firestick going to those TV's that don't have smart capabilities be it here or at someone else's house.
