Island Fresh Coconut Oil is one of nature’s most precious gifts to culinary gurus, beauty experts and wellness influencers. Cold-pressed and never heated, we use a traditional method of oil extraction that preserves the unique features of coconut oil, including its tropical taste and aroma.

Uses

Coconut Body Oil: Apply our organic coconut oil for skin liberally. Can be used daily to moisturize and soften dry areas of skin. We don’t recommend coconut oil for face because it’s considered comedogenic, which means it may clog pores.

Organic Coconut Oil for Hair: Help revive overworked hair by rubbing some coconut oil in between the palm of your hands to soften it, and apply to scalp or ends of hair. Let it absorb and then wash hair after 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.

I regret buying this product online. It arrived quickly (July 9), but I was shocked that the "best buy" date is Oct. 13, 2022. That's only three months from now!! There is no way that I will use even a fourth of this 54 ounce jar by this date. Previously, I purchased a jar this size (pre-pandemic and in-person) for a lot less money and a best buy date that was two years away. I do understand that this is a "best buy" date and is not "expired" in three months, but this is a lot of money to spend on an item with such a short shelf life.

Now some good mentions:

* The order arrived very quickly.
* Like most coconut oils, this one tastes delicious and smells heavenly (like being in the tropics in a coconut grove); and the little spot of skin that I tested it on feels moisturized. So it will do it's job for all that I will use it for, but, again, it has a much too short of a shelf life.

Also, I received this in July on an 80 degree day. It was still sealed with the lid and the safety seal, but it leaked all over two other items that were in the box. Just be ready in warm weather that the oil will liquify and you may have a leak and clean up to do upon arrival.

Here's to health, joy......and A LOT of coconut oil!!
