This TV is everything I expected it to be and more. The picture quality is outstanding and the added bonus of having Google Chromecast built-in puts it over the top. Set up was a breeze and the size is perfect. I can't believe what I paid for this versus what I got. For those having issues with the Chromecast, I have experienced none of that frustration. Not regretting this purchase at all.

Not what I wanted but was talked into buying it. The Toshiba television that was advertised was no longer available in any of the surrounding stores so I settled for the older model. Not bad but not the one I wanted it's not up to date as the one advertised.

Decent picture quality. Not amazing but not bad. I thought I would like chrome and not mind using my phone or iPad as a remote. I do. Plus it's flaky. More than once I've had volume cut out and had to close and reopen whatever app I'm streaming from. I'd use the tv more if it was a normal smart TV. Good value overall for the price when on sale (paid $329) but better TVs out there if you're willing to spend more money. I'm ok with it since it's just a bedroom TV that doesn't get used much.

The picture on this television very clear. Worth the purchase. Found on sale and it is worth every cent.
A:AnswerToshiba didn't know the answer to this question but a Best Buy t.v. person did. In order to have the t.v. turn on to where it left off (in your case the HDMI cable set up) you must install Googlecast even if you never intend to use it. I don't understand why Toshiba set this t.v. up this way but unless you install it, it will ask you every time you turn the t.v. on. Once I stalled it the tv goes right to the HDMI set up I made. The only other issue is you can only install it with an Iphone. Luckily I have one but some seniors don't. Very satisfied with the t.v. Once I hooked it up I never had to adjust factory settings and have a great picture.
A:AnswerThe same thing happened to me after for just a year, if I unplugged it and then plugged it back up, the Toshiba splash screen would appear, the standby red light would flash and then it would power off. There's very little info online about this particular brand. After 9 months of it taking up precious space, I decided to figure out what was wrong with it or take it to the dump. I checked the fuse in it (it has a white ceramic fuse, so you can't just look at it to tell if it's blown) and it was ok.I unplugged all the little electrical components and sprayed Electronic Cleaner on them and all over the main board and power supply board. Finally I went to the Toshibia website. I couldn't get the model nor serial numbers to pull up, because apparently this tv is discontinued. So finally after much searching I found this http://tvna.compal-toshiba.com/us/en/.
Go to the bottom of the screen and click on Discontinued Models. From there look for your model number (if your model # is 55L62U then 55 won't be on the there, just
L621U). Click Support, under Manual/Firmware Download click Download Page, then enter your model # (including the 55) then hit search. Scroll down until you find Download Procedure and Firmware. The first one is instructions on how to install the firmware correctly, so make certain to download it also. You will have to do this from a pc, because you will have to unzip the file and move it over to thumb drive. My tv said the download failed, but for some crazy reason it is working perfectly. I guess the firmware forced a reboot on my tv (?). I hope this helps you and anyone else that has had this problem.
A:AnswerThere are currently 3 different sizes of HDMI connectors that are commonly used - Standard (Type A), Mini (Type C) & Micro (Type D). The Standard (Type A) connector is the one used on almost every TV - have never actually seen a TV with any other type of HDMI input. If you need to connect a device, such as a GoPro camera, etc., that has the Mini or Micro HDMI output, you can get a cable that has the correct Mini or Micro connector that fits your device on one end, and the Standard HDMI connector on the other end. Best Buy sells an Insignia cable (Model # NS-DG06501) that comes with a Mini-to-Micro adapter, so this cable would most likely work for your situation regardless of whether the device you want to connect to your TV has a Mini or Micro HDMI output.
A:AnswerYou will have to go on-line to Toshiba and read the owners manual on-line. The majority of TV's sold these days, do not come with a manual. You either have to go to their website or they have it built into the TV. http://www.toshiba-om.net/tv_manuals.php
