I was looking for a tv that would be good for Online multiplayer. Something with low input lag. This TV covers that. I pre-ordered the Xbox one X and wanted to be ready for the full 4K experience. Aside from that, the picture from this tv is amazing even with a 1080p signal from my regular Xbox One. Funny thing is, I was watching some 4K video through the built in YouTube app in the TV, and it looked awesome. Then, I came to the realization that under the “quality” setting of the app, I was streaming 1080p signal. Switched it to 2160p, and dear god. My jaw dropped. Truly a sight to behold. One other thing, I returned an LG 65SJ8500 due to horrible black levels, and really bad local dimming. This XBR900e has outrageously good black levels. I highly recommend this tv, especially if you play online multiplayer shooter games. My Xbox one games also look even better on this tv and it’s not even 4K. I can only imagine what the ONE X will look like!

Originally we came to the decision to buy a LG TV model 65UH7700. All the reviews looked really good so we decided to go ahead and take the plunge. We got it home and set it up and after a couple days I noticed in low light situations there was quite a bit of flashlighting in the corners. So we turned on Doctor Strange and noticed it so bad that we decided to take the TV back. When researching it looks like you have to keep trying to get a good LG TV with the least amount of flashlighting. That certainly says something about your quality control LG. Best Buy didn't have a replacement LG so we went with a Samsung MU 7000 next. That was a mistake. The picture quality was poor, grainy and pixelated. Using Doctor Strange as our litmus test we noticed washed out blacks and not so vivid colors as the LG and I even spent 1-2 hrs playing around with the settings. Back to Best Buy I went. Lastly I bit the bullet paid a little extra and got the Sony. After spending some time with the Settings, particularly the motion options, we are very satisfied. The picture is clear and crisp. There is absolutely no flashlighting and the colors are very vivid. Just make sure you spend some time with the options and set it up the way you want it. Finally got it all mounted on our wall and it looks incredibly clean. My only issue with the Sony is that the operating system is quite antiquated. There are just too many options and windows you have to navigate to change different settings. Just make it easy to turn on and play a movie! They can really learn something from LG on this point, which came out of the box pretty much ready to go. Also, just being nitpicky, the remote control has just too many buttons and options. LG really got a lot right. This was our first brand-new TV purchase since my inherited first gen plasma and it's nice to be finally updated, although even this new rv has a hard time keeping up with the deep blacks of my plasma. Now all I need is a 4K Blu-ray player and our DirecTV to be upgraded for 4K and I'll be all set. In all honesty, I was originally satisfied with the LG if they could get their flashlighting situation under control. If you just want a great TV without having to worry about quality issues this is the one for you.

I have a 10yr old vizio nothing wrong with it. I wanted a tv that can support HDR 2.2. This TV is the best. I use my Denon to control the inputs I also do 100% streaming through Apple TV 4K. This tv has live football mode which is amazing. It is even better playing the Xbox one x unbelievable picture. And for $1499 the same price for my vizio 10yrs ago. Over all unbelievable picture for my old tv to this one weather I’m streaming or playing video games.
