With its ROG Phone 8, Asus sets the tone right from the start of the year with an extremely powerful and particularly versatile smartphone. It's quite simple: the manufacturer has improved on virtually all the points of criticism of the ROG Phone 7. Better photography, true waterproofing, more controlled heating, more sober design, wireless charging... Perfection doesn't exist, but Asus is getting closer with the ROG Phone 8.

Asus has finally gone all out and within the ROG gaming lineup has introduced a gaming phone that doesn't have many compromises. Whether it's the decent design, brutal performance, a top-notch display, good battery life and fast charging (this time with wireless charging), great cooling with an extra active fan, finally usable cameras, IP68 water and dust resistance, or other minor tweaks.

With the ROG Phone 8 Pro, Asus has completely overhauled its gamer smartphone, both in terms of design and equipment. Admittedly, the more compact format and total waterproofing of the casing have come at the price of some slight sacrifices. But the arrival of wireless charging and a telephoto lens quickly make up for them. Not to mention a large battery that provides long autonomy, regardless of the type of application used.

With the ROG Phone 8 Pro, Asus opts for consistency and once again offers an excellent gamer smartphone. The device is increasingly powerful, and boasts an excellent screen. Its ambition is to satisfy all uses, and if the Taiwanese company has revised the photo block by adding a telephoto lens, this has the merit of increasing its versatility.

In testing this ROG Phone 8 Pro, I had the impression of holding in my hands the ROG Phone of maturity. The design is sleeker, elements already present on previous versions have been improved, and user requests have been met (camera, better design, new in-game features, etc.).
