Thanks for the question, the rotors on the Flying Fairy do spin quite quickly. Please be assured not so quickly as to cause a genuine safety concern. The Flutterbye Fairy not only meets but exceeds safety standards for an RC unit of it's type and is also a lot of Fun!

That being said, as is the case with all remote control helicopters and flying toys of it's type, we always recommend you avoid contact with face, hair and eyes.

No Guard but there soft, my grandaughter is 5 I have no worries,

It doesn't hurt when the blade hits you, its made out of like foam, its terrible tho, it will get hung up in hair, and break when it runs into something, and it will run into something

They spin surprisingly fast, but my 4 year old has no problem using it by herself. It hit her in the face once, but didn't hurt her. Just have to be careful not to get it close to your eyes.

They mostly fly up and down. I don't think getting hit in the eye would even be a concern.

No! There's not! But it does crash to the floor quite quickly so there aren't many worries about eyes in my opinion. It's not a great toy.

There is no guarantee and nothing in place. Observers have to be cognizant of the toy and move it need be. When it does fly into something, it does go down quite noisily and tends to shoot off in a random direction.

don't get it its an all over the place toy it hits hard and not controllable

The blades spin pretty fast and there are no guards in place.

The 'wings' are soft plastic and they flip up and down, so I don't think they could hurt anyone. However, the booklet does say it isn't for children under 3.

The blades spin about the same as a remote control helicopter but the manual doesn't say what the speed is. There is no guard in place but the wings are rounded at the ends. The manual does warn against flying it near your face & to keep fingers, hair, eyes & other body parts away from rotor. My daughter & I have gotten hit by it when trying to stop it from crashing. It hurts a little but its not forceful enough to cut you.

Yes this Doll comes in African American, if you look at the color options for the Flutterbye Fairy Doll Pink 2 has darker skin. Hope this helps.

There are two pink ones, one is darker skinned.

There is a pink fairy that comes with darker skin, but her hair is still light. I would not say she looks African American but her skin is darker.

No, they are all white, just different color hair & clothes.

I purchased the pink one which looks closest to African American with light brown skin. The other 2 colors available are purple & I think orange but they have lighter skin colors.
