- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2015Mataji Indra Devi & her pupil & colleague, Helene Vreeland were my yoga teachers in the early 70s & friends & sister devotees of Sai Baba for many years thereafter. I only recently learned that Indra Devi was the direct disciple of Master Yogi Krishnamacharya who first brought the teachings & philosophy of yoga out of the obscurity of ancient archives & into the modern world. Thus Indra Devi is listed as one of 4 "root Gurus" of modern yoga & the "First lady of yoga" in the western world & to her many famous pupils in Hollywood. This book offers her instructions in such a simple, clear, easy to read & follow manner--that I could still hear her loving, merry voice ringing in my mind. This book offers a very safe easy entry for someone of any age or health condition who is new to yoga--as well as refreshing reminders for more advanced practitioners. In taking up yoga again after a lapse of many years, I found it extremely helpful. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in cultivating a more conscious, healthy, happy & stress free lifestyle. "SaiVahni" Ashtar-Athena Sheran

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for any beginer
Good for any beginer.
I both it as I'm very inspired by Indra Devi life story :) Though book has nothing to do with it. It's more a practical manual for curious yoga learner.
