      I bought this for my 2 year old toddler and from the first moment she saw it she loved it. She really enjoys switching it on and off and watching it change colors.

      I purchased three of these, but if you turn them on at the same time, the lights change at different intervals. This isn't enough to bring down the rating, but I figured I would put it out there in case anyone was planning on having these change colors in sync.

      This star is really cute. It has been my baby's company at night and she loves it for two reasons: 1. It makes her fall asleep while looking at the changing colors, 2. It allows her to see her mobile in the dark and entertain herself while she falls asleep. The star is great because I can take it anywhere and my daughter feels at home with it.
      BUT there are a few things to think about:
      1. It is cheap, very cheap and you get what you pay for. It is very small (which I don't consider a problem). The material is plastic, and it comes in a cardboard box that might rip while being shipped. We bought 5 stars, and two of them came with the cardboard boz destroyed. One of these two stars did not work.
      2. It only comes with batteries, which means that after two-three 8 hour nights that is it for the star. Unless you know how to make them plug in I really recommend you not to get it.

Went to turn it on that night and the switch to turn it on had fallen through and could not be retrieved. We tried to take off the battery holder to fix but there was no support to hold it in. Every time we tried to turn it on the switch fell in again. Wound up throwing it away before ever using...piece of junk! Took weeks to arrive also. sad

      Bought this for my daughter as a sensory toy. We played with something similar as part of a playgroup we attend and she was always mesmerised, and this is the most similar item I could find. Is great as she likes looking at the changing colours. It's a nice gentle colour phasing, which is great for such a low cost item.

      You do need to be patient with delivery as it came all the way from Hong Kong. But worth the wait as can't find anything similar anywhere else.

      Obviously just be careful when letting a little one play with it due to the small battery inside. It is however only opened with a screwdriver so it's safe for monitored use.
